agree with you - Im a huge Punk fan but this is him chucking his dummy out of his pram - terrible attitude, especially after he has been pushed hard by WWE the last few years and given the longest title reign of the modern era
A title reign that amounted to nothing because of stupid crap like this.

How are so many missing the point?

The CM Punk situation is personally being handled by Vince McMahon himself, as opposed to Triple H or WWE's Talent Relations department.

WWE officials are not happy at all about the story getting out and there being a big deal publicly. The hope was to keep it as an internal issue and deal with it within the company.

There were meeting with the WWE creative team all last week discussing WrestleMania XXX plans if Punk does not return, as well what to do with him if he does come back. The meetings were not as a result of Punk walking out specifically but also a by-product of fans rejecting segments and the reaction for Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble. A source noted that "anything is possible" at this point in regards to the WrestleMania XXX card and nothing should be considered official or locked in with the exception of John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

WE NXT Diva Emma was in the crowd for last night's WWE live event in Wichita, Kansas. She appeared during a Natalya vs. Tamina Snuka match to dance and wave her sign around.

- There were lots of CM Punk chants at last night's live event in Wichita. It was announced earlier in the show that fans could get refunds for CM Punk not being there. The Shield cut a promo on Punk not being there and said we should all be glad that he went home.

- Randy Orton cut promo before his match with John Cena at last night's WWE live event in Orlando and said a line that had many fans thinking he took a shot at CM Punk leaving. Orton said, "If at first you don't succeed, quit."

Punk is making a statement by walking out on a near 7 figure payday, WWE don't listen to the fans, book on bias and treat the guys who work their ass off like ****, someone actually showing he doesn't need them and walking out on their biggest spectacle was the moment to do it in order to make a point and it's a point that has been well publicized due to the timing.

And that's the other thing. WWE apparently hasn't explained to their talents how the WWE Network featuring Wrestlemania XXX will impact the bonuses they normally receive.

I won't argue that the way Punk left was unprofessional. It could've been done differently. But it's like I had said, it's hard to not understand since it's something most people have felt before in their jobs, including myself.

Also, while him having a long historical reign is good to have on paper, if you look back, he only headlined a few of the shows despite being WWE Champion. That was one of the problems in Punk's mind likely: He's champion, but not the man. John Cena was still the focus. Think about it:

Royal Rumble 2012: obviously the match is the show closer here, no problem with that.

Elimination Chamber 2012 Headliner: Cena vs Kane in an Ambulance match. The Elimination Chamber match for WWE title was the show's opening match!

Wrestlemania 28 Headliner: Rock vs Cena. Understandable here

Extreme Rules 2012 Headliner: Cena vs Brock. Understandable here.

Over the Limit 2012 Headliner: John Cena vs John Laurinaitis. Yes, this was the headlining main-event, not the WWE title match between Punk and Bryan.

No Way Out 2012 Headliner: Cena vs Big Show in a steel cage. Not the triple-threat for the WWE title match.

WWE Money in the Bank 2012 Headliner: RAW's Money in the Bank match, which featured John Cena. The title match wasn't.

And the rest of the year, the title match was the headliner because A) Rock made an appearance and said he was going to challenge the champion at the Royal Rumble, so automatically they had to make the belt important again. B) Cena challenged for the belt in the next several PPVs, and they were trying to push Ryback.

So yes, Punk had that great historic reign but he wasn't the central focus. It was still John Cena, despite Punk having the belt.

And then 2013, he lost to the Rock twice, lost to Cena on RAW, lost to the Undertaker, lost MITB and then lost to Brock. So every high profile match he had he lost. His match with Jericho he won but I wouldn't consider it high profile, IMO. And then he faced Ryback and Axel, the Wyatts and the Shield. Ryback and Axel are boring midcarders. The Wyatts and Shield are midcarders as well.

So it did feel like he was shunted back down after his reign. It was almost as if they Jericho'd him. Remember after Jericho lost the Undisputed title, he went on a PPV match losing streak that lasted until September? Jericho took that in stride, but obviously Punk isn't that type of guy.

And then whatever arguments on creative's decisions and their use of talent. It's just hard to say he comes across as a baby here. Unprofessional? I'll agree with that. Disrespectful? Probably, but he probably felt disrespected as well.

Wrestling fans have apparently taken over the official WWE Facebook page in protest of CM Punk leaving the company earlier this week. The viral CM Punk "chants" begin on Tuesday, January 28th, almost immediately after the news broke on internet wrestling websites, and have taken over just about every single post made on the WWE's account.

Check out the photo below, combining over a dozen of the most recent posts and comments. And you can see the damage for yourself on WWE's official Facebook page.

Unless the entire Punk controversy happens to be a work, which many backstage believe is not the case, it's not likely that fans will be seeing him back in the WWE prior to WrestleMania, or in the near future.

I really don't want Punk walking out to overshadow Daniel Bryan.

I'm not one to ever wish injury on someone, but given Batista's age, history, ring rust, and this whole train wreck of a situation... I think it'd be hilarious if he tore his bicep or something on Raw tomorrow lmao

I'd be on with that.

I'm really curious about where this Dolph Ziggler promo leads (if anywhere). I'd love for him to get an actual storyline again here soon. Depending on what they do with the Shield, I'd be all for a Ziggler-Ambrose feud.

RAW's going to be interesting tomorrow night with all this Punk drama and the continued fallout from the Rumble!

Definitely.

The WWE wants to control everything yet they also want fan/audience input.

I think the bosses at WWE are going to realize they can't control everything.

The timing of all of this is quite amazing. On the eve of the 30th Anniversary of the company's biggest show of the and the launch of the Network.

Punk's a clever guy. I think it would be foolish to completely dismiss the notion that he picked his moment well, much like the time of his first pipebomb.

I love Randy calling out Punk like that for quitting,he seems to have forgotten that it was he who went AWOL from the marines.

Randy Orton is known to be a massive *****e who has gone into business for himself during his life. Call me when one of the company guys like Cena, Bryan, or Kane call out Punk.

Cody has been bringing it lately

Cody is amazing. I liked him during the feud with Sandow last year.

I'm sure it has been discussed on here before, but it's my first time seeing this. What ****ing nerve. I agree with the Rey stuff, but everything else....
"Internet is so funny. You all read the sites so you all should know the 'plans' for Mania. None of those plans have Bryan in a title match so the internet exploding at the end of the show is beyond laughable. Plus don't hate on Rey, he didn't book himself as #30.

The way most of you were acting the company should have called an audible and put Brooklyn Brawler as #30 just to piss you off even more. over 50,000 mania tix sold and a network that will change your life for ever is about to launch, so just relax and enjoy the product the company gives you. By the way, didn't you all **** on the wwe for the Sept - Nov ppvs last year and said you were done, but turned around to watch/buy the Rumble? Pittsburgh you were an awesome crowd and it was an honor to be in your building last night"

Seems kinda heelish for Cody to keep on bashing the NAO like that for being older and stuff even though NAO are heels or tweeners..But great work,Cody has improved in all areas over the last few years

Maybe this will cause the Rhodes Bros to split?,Cody turning on Goldust cause of age and being considered a legend/veteran
