One of the reasons for Bryan not being pushed as the guy I keep reading is that his merchandise sales aren't high, nor are the house shows he's headlining.

My thoughts on that...If everytime someone tunes in, Bryan is getting his butt kicked, why would they stick around? Who sticks around to watch their hero get beat up all of the time? Had they put the machine behind him, protected him and really pushed him, he could've been a good draw. I'm sure Cena wasn't drawing serious numbers in his few months and it had to build up with him looking strong. Bryan needs to have the machine behind him, as well as more RAWs of him coming out victorious.

And he needs better merchandise. His best item is the beard t-shirt. I think it was Sweetre15 who suggested better designed merchandise. Not sure how many people want to buy a shirt with a flying goat on it.

CM Punk's shirts always had cool designs. Bryan needs the same.

Yeah I was at the house show the other day, and thought about buying a Bryan shirt, but they were just ugly. Who wants a goat shirt?

Also on Post Shield attire, I think Ambrose should stay with his current Shield swat look, it just suits him. Rollins can go back to his NXT/FCW gear. Reigns is the tricky one IMO. Maybe looser pants like Rey?

As for DB. IMO he is so popular because he is the underdog.
I really think if he got the title that after a while the fans "love" for him would fade. He works best and the little guy who strives to be at the top.

I could be wrong..

You can't do that forever though. I'm sorry but there's no way you don't give someone that over a legitimate run. There's no guarantee that Reigns or Langston will get as over as Bryan.

People are hilarious. I was debating with someone who was saying the reason Punk wasn't selling and bringing in buyrates like Cena was and that's the reason why Punk wasn't made the number one guy. And he brought up Over the Limit 2012 as an example, saying Bryan/Punk didn't draw.

But that show's headlining main-event and more promoted match was Cena vs Laurinaitis! That's the reason why numbers weren't strong! Come on, man! :lmao:

Why Cena vs. Laurinatis was the ME at Over the Edge still baffles me to this day. I understand it was Cena but Johnny Ace in the ME yeah its no wonder why people didn't buy that PPV.

But but but.....he got the touch, he got the powah!

I think Punk going over at Mania is going to be one of the top stipulations without question. And that worked shoot idea is great. Punk wouldn't have to wrestle again until Mania. Bring Punk back after the EC ppv. Just let him and Triple H tear into each other for four weeks on the microphone.

I'd say the March 3rd Raw in Chicago would be the place to start it, have him enter through the crowd with his hood up, no music, the fans will erupt and he takes the mic and proceeds to drop a pipebomb before being cut-off and arrested by security. That's how I'd kick it off and I agree, don't have him wrestle until Mania.

- According to F4WOnline.com, Bray Wyatt writes all of his promos himself, and then submits them to the WWE creative team for edits and final approval.

- According to PWInsider.com, word coming from within WWE is that no one has heard from CM Punk since he walked out on the company last Monday. No one in WWE has been able to reach him via phone or texts, and word is that he's keeping to himself for the time being, and not speaking to anyone in WWE with the exception of his close, inner circle, and those people will not comment on the situation.

Neither of these news bits surprise me.

For anyone who hasn't watched it, I HIGHLY recommend Chris Hero's recent shoot interview where he goes in-depth on his time in developmental. Some of the highlights are his thoughts on guys there (and really he's got nothing but positive things to say) & he provides some great insight into the genesis of a character like Wyatt. Hero said that after being demoted from the main roster as Husky Harris due to concerns over his weight, he tried a bunch of things before settling into the Wyatt gimmick. Supposedly he's a huge fan of the horror genre and that's largely the inspiration for his character (and we can see lots of that in the final product, from the verbiage in his promos to the exorcist-like spider walk in the ring).

If Punk comes back before WM here is the Card I would like to see

Orton vs. Batista vs. Bryan
HHH vs. Punk (If Punk wins Punk gets a Title Shot at Extreme Rules)
Lesnar vs. Undertaker
Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
US Title Match Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Rollins
IC Title Match Sheamus vs. Big E Langston

Or Sheamus vs. Reigns
and Big E Langston vs. Dean Ambrose IC US Title Unification match.

Actually I think it would work in his favor and others because every challenge would seem like a legitimate threat. He deserves at least a six month reign. Of course once he gets the recognition some fans will turn on him. It happened with CM Punk. All the sudden he was overrated and now people have the audacity to call him a whiner when all they do is complain about the current product.

Awesome to hear that about Wyatt. Last thing we need is another headliner just reciting whatever creative craps out this week. Good to know he's got the mind to write his own, awesome stuff.

Assuming this isn't a work and that they can talk Punk back into Wrestlemania, gotta wonder where that leaves the card. I can't see him going back on what he said and caving to do the HHH match. I feel like they'd HAVE to give him the main event to get him back.

I'm gonna have a ball watching the crowd eviscerate Raw tonight lol.

It's insane that Bray is only 26.

It wouldn't surprise me if this were true because the guy is just money on promos. WWE should let more talent write their own promos. It is so noticeable when guys have more input on their promos beyond someone writing a script for them.

When he was in ROH, he was booked as an unstoppable wrestling machine. It can definitely work in the WWE.

Have him as champ for such a long time that he threatens to surpass Punk's championship record, then have him turn into a cocky heel that knows no one can touch him. That's what I'd do.

As we reported yesterday, with CM Punk walking out on WWE and the crowd reacting to stars like Batista, Cena, Orton and Bryan the way they have been, original WrestleMania 30 plans are currently in a state of flux, and the WWE creative team has been in meetings all of last week discussing plans.

The only thing said to be a "lock" for the PPV as of now is John Cena, and while it was previously a "lock" that we would see Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker at the PPV, the live reaction to Batista might change those plans. PWInsider.com notes there could be something teased between Lesnar and Batista on Raw tonight in case WWE decides to go in that direction for WrestleMania.

So who does Orton defend against and who goes for Taker's streak if they go this route? I'd rather have Bryan carry Batista and do Orton vs Brock.

Bryan/Batista for title, Orton/Brock, and Taker vs ??.

People keep suggesting a Sheamus/Taker match but I can't see it. Too big of a step down from HBK/HHH/Punk. Promos and storyline would be dull, to me it would just screams WE LIKE SHEAMUS, LOOK HES A BIG DEAL, SEE!

And I say that as a fan of the guy.

Orton vs Brock is an interesting match up. I dig that idea a lot.

I read that many in the WWE locker room are not unhappy Punk is gone. Pretty interesting, if not unsurprising given his personality.

Let's be honest, Bryan leaving EC as champ just wouldn't make much sense and wouldn't have the same impact as him chasing the belt at the biggest PPV of the year, especially if it's Bryan vs. Batista.

Bryan has now gotten mainstream media attention. Better to strike the iron now at Elimination Chamber where he finally beats Orton again than having to wait an extra 6-12 weeks for it!

What an absolute dogsh** decision that was. I can understand Cena headlining the past three PPVs:

Vs. Kane at EC as the final PPV sell for WM 28

Vs. Rock at WM 28 - the dream match

Vs. Lesnar at ER - the return of Brock

It pissed me off Punk Vs. Bryan was the best match of the year and yet the WWE Championship played second fiddle to Cena wrestling a guy who hadn't been in the ring for 12 years. WTF?

I see it as some professional jealousy perhaps? Maybe being happy that a top spot opened up. Punks always been a defender of the lower guys on the roster, going to bat for Ryder, Kofi, Gallows, Bryan (before the #YesMovement), put over Truth a few times...

Id imagine itd be the Orton/Sheamus/Batista types who arent unhappy with his departure.

yeah......but what good would Bryan winning the belt at EC be if he just loses it at the bigger PPV, WM?
