But she wasn't even on the battle with the cure. She simply took it. There was no struggle, no conflict. If at least she had an important part on the emotional core of the movie, I'd be happy. But that didn't happen. She was missing during 3/4 of the entire picture. And the scenes she got were for the most part rubbish, which once again, shows the lazy writing job.It was not necessary, she was there for an emotional battle with the cure, not the pysical one with mags.
And she could be used, greatly, on the final battle. Especially seeing how many random mutants she could absorb. And ,just in case, the "how will she touch the enemy?" talk is old... Rogue has spent years at the school. It's not a stretch to think she can handle a little hand-to-hand combat. It would not be out of character to see her punch a mutant and taking his powers.
But then we get into the whole "Anna wasn't available" talk. And I say: she was never a part of the final battle, as Zak said, in any of the scripts, even before Margaret appeared. Which shows they never intended her to go to the final battle...
