Later episodes didn't follow the serialized storytelling structure of the first three seasons, that's the big difference.

That just sums up the series.Not a bad show but Wolverine and the x men and Evolution just makes it very average ,even with 70 plus episodes a 26 episode show is better.Im just glad they learnt their lessons from that 90s show

Agreed, Vile. This show was great. And I'm saying this as a DIE HARD Jean Grey fan, and adamant hater of Wolverine as a character.

The fact that Jean was MIA and Logan was the leader didn't change the fact that is was a fantastic series. And my immense enjoyment of it was not hindered.

While we're on the subject, I think the 90's X-Men was okay, but WTXM was a great show and it had so much potential. I hate that it was canceled.

I'll take episodes like "Orphan's End" and "Juggernaut Returns" over "Breakdown" and "Code of Conduct" any day, the former because I actually felt for Cyclops in "Orphan's End" and the latter because, well, it's infinitely more entertaining than watching the X-Men get punked by ninjas.

I didn't care much for the show , but the episode where Nightcrawler was protecting that boat going to Genosha was cool. His fight with Spiral is the best fight they ever had on that show.

The fuzzy Elf stole the show ,can't believe the 90s show did't give him more than 2 episodes,same with Wanda ,Kitty Pryde,Quicksilver,Polaris,Colossus,Iceman etc.They also gave us Sentinals so weak even Jubilee can take them on her own, same with the Brotherhood.Anyway I don't think the x men has had any bad show yet unlike other major heroes

That would be hilarious. One of those kids ends up writing for Marvel and finds out he's really Canadian and he changes Wolverine's nationality to Australian instead.

There was only room for one of Wolverine's kid-sidekicks. Also note that when Kitty was a main character in both X-Men Evolution and Wolverine & the X-Men, Jubilee was also left out of the mix. I know she was one of the New Mutants in Evo, but she had no character development in the show and she was written out eventually

I really don't remember her being on the show, except for when she left. I guess with Gambit and Boom-Boom being introduced on the show around the same time, there wasn't enough room for Jubes to stand out on the roster, which is a shame

A lot of people seem to hate Jubilee for whatever reason, whether because she was seen as a knock off of Kitty Pryde as she filled the same basic role (spunky energetic young sidekick & surrogate daughter/student to the gruff cranky Wolverine) or because she was a product of the 90s or they didn't like her voice actress Alyson Court, etc.

Well this is certainly true, but like you I do not hate Jubilee. It's not like she's Jar Jar Binks or the Autobot twins from "Transformers Revenge of the Fallen".

I never liked Jubilee, or Kitty for that matter (in the comics and early cartoons) until Whedon's Astonishing X Men and X Men Evo. They are both whiny and annoying-you can only put up with so much "Why me?" pouting before you want to smack them. Suck it up, girls! You don't see any of the teenage boy characters (Iceman in the day, pretty much all of the male New Mutants and Hellions) acting that way!
