I'd rather have the classical version rather than Ultimate.

Thunderbolts is alot cooler.

What they should have done in the first Spiderman was to keep the powerranger suit being the main body but then making him use a dark purple ragged robe or cloak along with a halloween mask.

Would had been alot better than what we got.

Costume. But I'd want him to only have the Goblin mask and be fully suited up, instead of having a full body Goblin costume.

And I'd Norman start out sane, using the Green Goblin persona to do things he can't do as Norman Osborn, but then slowly go crazy.

It's always about the costume, but needs to translate on film. Something to the feel and look of a goblin

All I am saying is we had so much Green Goblin in Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3. Why not let another bad guy take over?
Maybe now we can finally see Mysterio, Electro, Scorpion, Rhino, Kraven, or the Lizard, in a Spider-man movie.

Since Norman Osborne was already established as the big bad Green Goblin in Spider-Man 1, and everyone would get who he was, just his presents on screen (without any hint at the Green Goblin) would be menacing. Like Lex Luther on Smallville. They could hint at it and play with it. Fan would always be wondering if Norman was always scheming, or how his actions fit into some evil plot. Or at least just thinking "Oh, he is a bad guy. Don't trust him Peter." This could be Norman, before the Green Goblin. Still bad news.

Plus I really think we had so much Green Goblin, lets give him a break and use another bad guy.

As, for example. The movie is about Peter in High school. His main enemy in the movie is Electro.
Peter is going to school, and fighting Electro. He is best friends with Harry and Gwen.
Later, at the Osborne house we see Harry, Peter, and Gwen. Norman comes into the room, is dark and somewhat creepy. He makes some forced small talk with Harry and Gwen, but really seems interested in Peter and his interest in science. then he leaves the room, tells Harry not to disturb him.
When he walks out the audience is left with a shiver down their spines.
Norman isn't the main bad guy, or even a bad guy really. Just not a good guy.

before we decide what his costume should look like we have to first decide what his motivations are. In Raimi's Spider-Man the suit was being developed for the military. It is understandable that the military would not want purple underwear and a goblin type mask resembling the original classic comic book look.

So what is going to be Green Goblin's motivation and what exactly is he setting out to accomplish? What are his goals?

His costume will have to reflect that. If he is choosing something like the picture above, Thunderbolts 121, I'm just curious why he is choosing that route as a character. It could look awesome though.

Edit.. The classic costume could go a long way in helping this franchise seperate itself from the last, as well as helping the Green Goblin seem new and fresh as opposed to a retread of previously covered ground.

Norman's ultimate goals seem to always be control and power. Sometimes, he can only do so much as Norman Osborn. The Green Goblin would help him accomplish his goals. But why exactly create the Green Goblin to hide his identity? I'd think he's thinking of something so outlandish, that you'd never think of connecting him to Norman Osborn.

Honestly, I don't understand how he could have a costume, and still look like this. You can't have someone wear a mask and have that smile; a mask won't form to your face like that. I really don't see a problem with having him physically transform.

That's an idea i had for Spider-man 3 actually. Instead of Harry putting on that terrible costume, he would have taken too much of the goblin formula and actually become a "goblin"

I've got it. Just make him an insane terrorist, kind of like the Joker. It's true to the comic books. He doesn't have to set out to take control of his company. Even though that was cool for the first movie, this time just make him an insane terrorist. And he chooses the look so people will fear and hate him more.

It will help distance him from the previous Green Goblin, and if the fight choreography is good enough, it wont seem like a repeat of the same villain. Go with the classic costume, and make him really brutal. Like Joker brutal. Have Gwen Stacy die in the first movie and everything.

I would have Norman Osborn create a mask that can shift and create the goblins face.

hre is the problem. Norman Osborn has to pull strings. The Green Goblin has a secret identity, and if he's physically transforming back and forth between looking like a human and some kind of green demon, it's going to be too much like Jekyl and Hyde and possibly lack realism. It might be too much Incredible Hulk.

spiderman should accidentally open a portal to the supernatural world, thus the goblin king (aka green goblin) accidentally enters into our world causing mischief and mayhem all in the name of fun, and spidey has to stop him b4 time runs out.

people are gonna hate me even more, but why not have it be a permanent transformation?

because like I said, Norman Osborn has to pull strings from behind the scenes. the green goblin has to exist for a while before he is defeated, and during that time Harry Osborn is going to have a relationship with his father.

We also have to have Spider-Man find out somehow that he is Norman Osborn and Harry has to somehow find out that he was killed and blame it on spider-man.

none of that would work with a permanent transformation. It would be Green Goblin in name only. The story would be nothing like the comic book.

not only would it turn off longtime comic book fans, it wouldn't be as good at the same time. sometimes changes are justified. I don't think this is one of them.

the one really big challenge for these movies is the Osborn Saga. Harry Osborne's role throughout the movies was done so beautifully. Even Norman Osborn was done so well, although I think he could have been a little more insane and a little more of a terrorist kind of villain who plays games with Spider-Man for pure fun.

Maybe they can make it so the part around the mouth isn't there & you can see his mouth. Or maybe Oscorp could be developing a new "war mask" which shows the person wearing it's emotions. Then, Osborn develops it to look like a Goblin once he's gone coo-coo.

lol, i don't know how that would come in handy in war, but it's an interesting idea!

The thrill for me is to see a true gothic/scary Goblin Costume, showing off the dark demented mind that is the Goblin.

Some of those costumes above are great starting points.

id like to see a physical transformation into this

^Certainly a favorite of mine. I would prefer it as a costume, though. Or something like this. It'll never happen but I can dream.
