I wonder Loki does to make Thor say
"Loki, you're embarrassing me."

Pretty annoying framing since it's Instagram, but I found a video of the theater thing:

Interesting shot of Hulk looking up, presumably at Loki. So Loki is legit afraid (not just them using an unrelated thing for specifically TV spot edited joke) of Hulk I presume.

Also if you listen closely, Hulk roars his own name. So he completes the Grandmaster's introduction. Pretty neat.

That's hilarious! The look on Hulk's face when he hears Loki's name is priceless! :jd:

That's all I've ever wanted from the Hulk in a live action movie. One that could verbalize what he's feeling and thinking, this Hulk looks COOL! Not some roaring giant green rage monster that hardly knows what's going on, that Hulk sucks by comparison. Those clips look AWESOME!

He should have been a verbal Hulk in Avengers 2, since he talked a bit in A1. They regressed him badly in AoU and now seem to have him right hopefully for the long run.

Yes they did. If Marvel Studios just had to start with a Hulk that couldn't speak clearly, with each movie we should have seen a progression. But I am of the stance that it was a bad idea to start with. When Hulk can verbalize himself, he's a uniquely interesting character with interesting views. Marvel missed out BIG TIME.

Not really expecting a whole lot of major spoiler stuff with this film (unless you're talking visuals we haven't seen yet?). I'll be on here as much as always all the way up to release lol.
Yeah mostly visuals or some talk about scenes. I am not watching new clips.

This?

Is the blonde with Loki Sigyn? There is a blonde fighting beside him in the trailers, too. It would be interesting to see how Loki deals with his wife (plus it would enrage a few obsessed fangirls).

Enchantress?

But that still begs the question, who was the blonde fighting beside Loki in Asgard? Maybe she's just an Asgardian nobody, but she put me in mind of Sigyn, Loki's woeful wife of myth. Here's a silly gif I made of them:
Loki does care about Frigga.
The blonde is not "fighting beside Loki" she is running away. Most likely just a normal asgardian as others we see running.
Dont like how Loki comes off afraid of him there
Seriously? What did you expect.
Loki got completely destroyed on their first encounter and now he sees him again as the Champion of Sakaar coming out into an arena fully armored. Loki's reaction is hilarious and a natural one.

That makes sense, despite the fact that Loki directed Skurge to the back way to Frigga's chambers, thereby causing his mother's death. It's a way for him to pretend he really cares.

:chd:

I assume you mean Kurse, and he didn't direct him to Frigga's chambers but to the power source to the Asgardian defense system. He does really care, which is why you saw him freaking out when he heard Frigga had died (although he tried to hide it with illusions), and it's the reason why he chose to team up with Thor to get revenge.

He does really care about Odin and Thor as well, but unlike with them there wasn't any mixed in hate with Frigga.

He tried to kill Thor.

Twice

Any word yet on when the full critic review embargo is going to be lifted? Advanced screenings for press should be taking place in the coming weeks.

That doesn't prevent him from caring. Loki isn't just a mustache twirling villain, most of his hate actually comes from love and his insecurities. He loves both Odin and Thor, yet he also hates them because he desperately seeks confirmation from the former and wants to be seen like the latter.

We've heard Hiddleston talk about that aspect of his portrayal as well, so it's the intended reasoning.

Thor's face when Hulk says that though. :woot:
:woot: I bet that that's when Thor gets into some argument against Hulk and maybe tricks Hulk into chasing Thor through the streets of Sakaar.

Taika does a great job at extracting so much out of his scenes. So much depth in the way the characters react to each other, the humor... Hulk is just acting like Hulk, like a rebel child that doesn't want to play with others... Thor's face is like he knew Hulk was going to say that and i wonder if Thor is playing Hulk at this point. Thor calling out Loki is so funny and Loki's reaction is great too.

Chris Hemsworth delivery and timing are giving Thor alot of stuff to relate to and increasing the character's charisma and appeal.

I wonder what new content we'll get today as per the ''Helaween'' tweet yesterday from Marvel?

That could very well be what sparks the chase.

I watched Taika's movie 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople", his sense of comedic timing and ability to tell a story stood out. Marvel was lucky to secure him as a director of two of their major characters that lacked "personality" on different levels. Thor maybe thousands of years old, but that does not mean his personality does not fit the time he's living in; and as far as the Child-like Hulk, as long as they keep his unique syntax consistant and don't portray him as a bafoon, they will make a classic character that will really have people talking. What makes the Hulk interesting and fun is not that he willy-nillingly goes around smashing things... but "WHY" he does it. He usually voices it in comics at least.

Chris Hemsworth looks like he is having the time of his life on this film. His energy is moving.

Yes it is!
