Yeah, Miek is probably minor enough that there's no use in putting him in any of the promo material. My bet is on a glorified easter egg.

Thank goodness the only humans in this film are the ones people care about like Bruce Banner.

That caring will only last until everyone finds out
that he dumped Natasha for Darcy Lewis and sheeeeee's ba-ack...

I found a mute clip on Twitter/Facebook from "Cinecolor Films" apparently the official distributor of Disney films in Colombia, Chile, Peru and Venezuela. It looks like it is some sort of shortened version of a TV Spot with new footage from the arena that i haven't seen before playing right into a scene we have seen briefly before in the trailers.

You can see it better in the Facebook link. Apparently Thor get's thrown back by the Hulk which makes him go backwards while trying to keep his balance he trips and then he falls with Hulk jumping from where he pushed Thor and landing on him and then pounding Thor hard with both fists while he is on de ground.

Scroll down on their facebook page there is a HD version of the clip.

Just wait until Darcy is revealed to have been a Skrull all along. The you all will recognize the genius of her performance.

That was awesome, it looks like
Hulk kicks or punches Thor causing him to fly back and stumble. I like how Thor trips as he tries to regain his balance, makes it more like a realistic fight.

That shot of Hulk landing on Thor and pounding him is an expanded version of the same shot from the Official Trailer and "Main Event Time" TV spot.

Lol I TOLD Jaqua and others that the scene of Hulk stomping Thor wasn't going to happen after they run and clash. It was just the editing in the "Main Event" TV spot.

I want to see Miek so bad! I don't understand why they are keeping him and Korg such a secret?

They're not 'keeping them a secret', we've seen quite a lot of Korg considering that he's only a fairly minor character. Miek is an even more minor character, so we're hardly going to see much of him before the film's release. They can't show us everything, there has to be some surprises left by the time the actual film comes out. :oldrazz:

Also, THREE WEEKS! :woo:

Yeh the fight looks really well done from all the clips i have seen, it has a good length to it and the moves, choreography and setting look very fresh to the MCU. That Thor vs Hulk battle is gonna be epic and so memorable.
The Hulk stomping moment seems to be from the last third of the battle. Their weapons are gone at that point. So i would guess that scene happens after Thor lands those body shots and punch to Hulk's face. Somehow after that Thor recovers and goes Beast Mode on the Hulk, - maybe when Hulk is cheering to the public and showing off - Thor hits with the fist on the ground and becomes engulfed in lightning, then he rushes against Hulk while Hulk does the same against Thor and then they both clash mid-air. No idea what happens after that though. But Thor seems to have the upper hand on that clash since he's faster and uppercuts Hulk(hence Loki's "punch" celebration). After that is all a guessing game.

Hulk seemed kind of sluggish when Thor was hitting him with those body shots in the "Main Event" TV spot. It seemed like he was dizzy or something, Thor must've stunned him with a big attack. I'm guessing it comes from the big clash Thor and Hulk has.

Super extensive article about Chris Hemsworth on GQ. Very in depth and interesting look at him as a person. Here is the TR related stuff.

...“Before we started on Ragnarok, I spoke to [president of Marvel Studios] Kevin Feige and said, ‘Why are we doing another one? I want to, but we have to change the game dramatically.’

Selfishly, I was bored of myself. I’d been boxed in and limited by what I could do with the character, creatively. When [New Zealand director] Taika Waititi’s name came up, I was already such a fan of his. I’d seen Boy and reached out to him to say, ‘Look, I’d love to work with you if something comes up’.”

Before Waititi’s final meeting, the pair decided not to mention they knew each other – in case it dissuaded those in power to choose him as Thor’s new director.

“After he signed, I was so happy. I remember he called me and said, ‘Man, I don’t ever want to hear you say [Hemsworth does a deep, silly voice], ‘Loki, end this madness,’ again, and say goodbye to your hammer’. Instead, the world became about how far in the wrong or right or different direction can we send it? There was so much improvisation, that’s very much in his style and my vibe. That’s the style of humour I love and that set the tone for the whole movie.”

“After Ragnarok, I had that feeling. The creative part of my soul was absolutely fed and I felt it was the most collaborative experience I’ve had. We had more fun than we should’ve been allowed to have in that kind of movie. Since Rush, I’ve been looking to experience that again.”

That's awesome. It sounds like Hemsworth hasn't been thrilled with how the Thor franchise has become the weakest in the MCU and I can't say I blame him. I like both Thor movies but they're undeniably on the bottom rung of the MCU. I'm really hoping that Ragnorak shakes that funk and ends up looking and feeling like a movie that only Taika Waititi could have directed. Who knows, maybe this movie blows expectations out of the water and Taiki signs on for a fourth? That'd be awesome.

I disagree with a lot of you. I think Korg and Miek won't be "very minor characters" Time shall tell.

Thor 1 is definitely not the bottom of the rung, I hate how TDW makes people forget the first Thor was actually a good movie.

I don't see how they could be major characters when we have Thor, Loki, Hulk, Banner, Valkyrie, Hela, Skurge, Grandmaster, Odin, Surtur, and Heimdall being the promoted major players. Also Strange. I'd be surprised if they got as prominent of roles as the Warriors 3 did in TDW. If this were a straight up Planet Hulk movie, then it surely would have been different. But at least they're in it in some capacity.

Yeah, I love the first Thor. The only things bothering me being the very obvious set piece of a town and how short his stay on Earth was.

Yeah that town was too small, it should've been set in a larger city.

I actually liked that about Branagh's Thor.

Cities being attacked or destroyed in a CBM are a dime a dozen.

Oh I'm with you there for sure. It's just that it was so obviously a set piece in the movie. If they filmed in an actual small town it'd be so much less distracting.

What ever happen to the Loki craze of 2012-2013?. It feels like it has died down. He was arguably the second most popular MCU character after Iron man at the time and was a bigger draw than Thor himself during the Dark world pre- release days.

With this film it feels Thor, Hulk and Hela are more anticipated. The film won't loose much buzz if Loki was cut from it.

I think the craziness over Loki is mainly a Tumblr thing. Lol.

All the criticisms of TDW noted but one thing TDW did at least give us [in my mind] was that Chris' hair and makeup [and Thor aesthetic in general] was on point for the first time, cinematically. Whenever I re-watch the first Thor, the Bee-Gees style hair and makeup (terrible eyebrow and beard dye job and appalling over use of face-powder) make by cringe at times. Avengers Assemble was a step in the right direction with a more 'natural' look but the hair styling was very 'glam-metal' and it wasn't until TDW that all the right elements were brought together at the same time, imo.

I get that with costuming and makeup its very hard to nail some things from the get-go and that it can sometimes takes a few movies to refine it all through a process of trial and error, thus explaining why his look was nailed in TDW and AoU but credit were credit is due - TDW gets props from me in that respect.

Bottom of the rung in the MCU, just so we're clear. The MCU has yet to produce a bad movie, but compared to the other franchises in the universe, both Thor movies are lower-tier IMO. I'd say the first Thor movie is better than Iron Man 2, TIH, and TDW.
