Thor: Ragnarok The Official News and Speculation Thread - - - Part 12

It's hard to describe how it's Thor's TWS without spoiling anything, but it definitely shakes things up on how they'll continue his (and his supporting characters') story.

Also, remember the boat scene in TWS and how it finally said "Cap CAN kickass"? Thor's rampage in the final fight gave me that impression too.

Thor is truly the asskicker now that we've always wanted him to be. Maybe they should use Immigrant Song as his theme for whenever he's about to go crazy in future films. :woot: I particularly love the variety of his powers now...that was something I'd had issue with in past showings.

Yep. And I do think it's fair to say that how the events of Ragnarok effect the wider MCU may not become apparent until later on anyway. There are things that happen in Ragnarok that may set up and effect events in Infinity War, but we may not know that until we've actually seen IW.

If Thanos watches this film he'll be turning back asap. ;)

I'm so freaken excited for this! I'm watching it on Thursday with my Dad before I move away so it'll be extra special.

And the reviews coming in make me even more pumped.

My stomach was doing flip flops when I was sitting in the theatre waiting for the movie to start, that always happens when I'm really anticipating something. :woot:

3 and a half hours until I'll see it again... I'm so glad I have a friend that couldn't go this morning so I have a good excuse to see it twice in the same day. Just being a good friend, that's all. :gngl:

It was nice of you to sacrifice yourself like that for your friend and all. Lol

Spoilers on a couple of Thor's power uses. Don't open if you'd rather not know.
I love when he's fighting in Super Saiyan mode he infuses lightning into his enemies, literally lights them up lol, and multiple small lightning bolts simultaneously flash down from the skies taking out individual enemies. He also uses a lot of great techniques in the initial fight against baby Surtur although I can't remember them individually. Truly the God of Thunder now!
And he really makes Hulk look slow in the early stages of the Hulk Vs Thor fight. Running rings around him and countering at every opportunity.

Hope you both enjoy it.

It expands the cosmic side of things like GotG does and also yes it does change things but I won't spoil how here.

Thanks for your responses. Thor has always been one of my favorite characters, so I am especially excited to see this movie. I just now have to wait until it hits the states.

Oh nice work! If I could I would too. ;)

It opens here on November 3, but I think there are some late November 2 showings... I don't know how I'm going to last.

Oh. That's a really long wait. Hope it goes fast for you and you enjoy it as much as we all have today.

Haha, good plan. You won't be sorry and it saves on time wasted getting to the cinema and back. ;)

Booked a half day in work so I can see this tomorrow afternoon - can't come soon enough. :thor:
