I have acquaintances that have seen this movie 2-3 times already and I'm sitting here having to wait another 7 days I hope they don't schedule Infinity War like this. A movie like that should have a simultaneous worldwide release.

Sure. I'd thought the spoiler threads were just for untagged spoilers and spoiler tags were designed for concealing spoilers in regular threads. Fine though as I'd rather talk about spoilers there anyway and don't want anyone to unintentionally see things they don't want to see if they're too weak to resist (like I would be ).

Has it been like this for most of the recent Marvel films? I can't remember as I couldn't see the ones this year on day 1 (apart from Ragnarok) for various reasons. And I think IW is already scheduled to open a week earlier in the UK than US. (sorry )

1000% agree! It wouldn't surprise me if a bootleg version found its way online before the US release, and that's just unacceptable. No reason for a movie like this to be staggered.

I get releasing to match up with holidays or something (that's what happened here, right? I mean, it wasn't just to make us suffer over here?) .... but I don't doubt at least clips of the movie will start appearing that shouldn't and I do not want any more spoilers than I already have.

And nearly 2 weeks is pretty outrageous. Seriously. And I'd feel that way if it was the other way around.

They have released every film since Iron Man 2 one week earlier in international countries. And it's not hurt their box office so they probably won't change how they do things just for Infinity War.

In Germany Thor gets a Tuesday-Release that is very rare to use a national celebration day.

6 days now until the movie releases in the US.
This release strategy has worked very well for Marvel so they have no reason to change it. In a way it helps to generate even more buzz and propel those box office numbers to even higher heights.

And I want a Korg spin off movie now.

Hela could have done with more time but she's definitely a turnaround for Marvel villains. Really loved here and she was just as good as she promised in the trailers.
