This movie is competing with Justice League

And I feel Thor, Hulk, Valkyrie, + Extended Amount of Strange pwns.

Cant wait

Tumblr/Fangirls ain't ready for Strange & Loki first meeting!

It has more of The World Engine story-line than the last Ragnarok arc.

I'm trying to figure out how it could tie into Infinity War, tho. I can see Thanos somehow making the World Engine to get rid of the Asgardians to make it easy for him to take over the universe and the battles are a plan to hide that fact

Hela is the main villain. I doubt Thanos will have that much of an impact on the main story. His arc may lead into Infinity War but he probably wont be the catalyst for the main story, it minimizes Hela's threat.

Also, Vartha my dude.. too much stock in comic adaptions! :P, I'd wager the world engine has absolutely nothing to do with this movie. The comments on the previous page seem to suggest they may actually take elements of Ragnarok into consideration.

Fenrir, Loki, Surtur, and Hela are all noteable confirmed villains.. the destruction of Agard and the 9 realms (if that is the plot) probably won't be because of a machine

This is turning into a proper Defenders movie with Hulk, Strange and Valkyrie. Imagine if Hellcat were somehow in here too. Or if Marvel had the rights to Silver Surfer and Namor.

The Defender's comes out in November too most likely. Marvel Studio's sneak dissing with real defender's???

Yeah, I think people are going to be disappointed if they're still expecting any kind of even semi-accurate adaption of any of the Ragnarok storylines from the comics, the film will much more likely pull inspiration from several of them and work them into a whole new Ragnarok story, much like Civil War was hardly an accurate adaption of the source other than at it's very most basic level. Kevin Feige is on record as saying that knowledge of the comics isn't always helpful when it comes to guessing what is going to happen in the MCU, don't expect a direct adaption of anything.

I also predict that the Planet Hulk part of the movie isn't going to be as dominant as some perhaps think it's going to be. I think it will be a side story that will take up a proportionally small part of the film, a means to an end almost. I predict that through the Planet Hulk side story, Thor and Hulk will end up stealing something from the Grandmaster (the soul stone perhaps?) that they will ultimately use to help them defeat Hela.

Oh, and I think (and personally hope) that Thanos will definitely appear, but as a post credits or extended cameo only. Hela is the main villain of this movie, I'll be really annoyed if they let Thanos steal her thunder... pun intended. :cwink:

Ragnarok is probably being used as a title just like Age of Ultron, without actually adapting the storyline. It's just a potentially dramatic, end-of-days sounding name (although maybe not to the casual viewer who will have no idea what it means) which might sound similar to X-Men: Apocalypse.

I still would rather see RAGNAROK over Contest of Champions which is what Planet Hulk is. Opponent vs Opponent.
It's a THOR film not Hulk film, as much as I'm a fan of both, Planet Hulk/Contest of Champions isn't what they keep saying the film's a game changer for the MCU. Just sayin'

I wonder if there will be a scene of Tom Hiddleston acting opposite Benedict Cumberbatch.

Or how about putting Hiddleston, Cumberbatch, Hopkins and Blanchett all in the same scene to act off each other?

They could rename this movie "Thor: The Thespian World."

I think there's laws against that
Everyone's heads would simultaneously explode from sheer acting talent
lol

though I gotta say, it's a smidge disappointing Cumberbatch won't get to use his lovely natural accent when he finally meets his fellow hilariously-surnamed thespian friend on screen.

Maybe Strange will put on a disguise and use his British accent :funny:

All these thespians could do Shakespeare in the park.

I think Dr. Strange interacts with Thor, Loki, Odin, & Dr. Banner

We've already seen Strange interact with Odinson while in this outfit. Loki must've just been waiting outside since he's with Odinson on Midgard too.

Bet Strange finds Dr. Banner as well and uses his magic to unlock Hulk's speech a little more.

Hopefully Strange meets Valkyrie at least once.

I just think Doctor Strange is gonna interact with Thor, Loki and Odin. All 3 on earth.
A small part and all based on earth and the quest to find Odin.
