"It's like two meerkats fighting over a cobra's carcass. You know, its cute but the nails are out."
So awesome."With Taika Waititi at the helm, when I would go down and visit that set, it was by far the happiest, most pleasant, most effective set that Ive ever been on," said Feige, who is also a producer of the movie. "And I dont know if that's Taika, I dont know if there's something in the water there in Australia, if that's the crews, but that's a fact.
Or the UK! 27th October, woooooooooo!
Another look at the movie theaters standees.

Empire's Exclusive Thor: Ragnarok Subscriber Cover Art Revealed
Whosoever holds this magazine, if he or she be worthy, shall possess the power of some really rather good film journalism... Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok just around the corner, and Empire is all over it like a hammer on dark elves. The Asgardian god of thunder is our latest cover star, doing battle with his latest fearsome foe and as usual, our lucky subscribers will be getting their issue a little early, with an exclusive limited edition cover. Take a look below to see what they'll be getting.
For this subscriber-only cover, we've commissioned Marvel artist Russell Dauterman (the illustrator behind the current run of Marvel's Thor comics) to produce this gorgeous bespoke illustration, depicting Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth in the movie) taking on Hela (played by Cate Blanchett), the goddess of death, destroyer of hammers, and really not somebody to be trifled with in a hurry.
This cover, which will be arriving on subscribers' doormats any day now, is only the tip of an 146-page iceberg inside the mag, there's an eight-page report from the Australian set of Taika Waititi's Thor: Raganarok; a massive 26-page Comic-Con Special; a huge career-spanning interview with James Cameron; and all the usual news, reviews, and exclusive previews you've come to expect from the world's biggest movie magazine.
Issue #340 of Empire goes on sale Thursday 17 August, with the newsstand cover still to be revealed. Subscribers should be receiving their copy any day. Want to get beautiful, limited edition art covers like the one above every month, days before the shops, for less than the cover price? Subscribe to Empire here. Thor: Ragnarok arrives in UK cinemas from 27 October.
Yeah, same. #Thorsday #ThorRagnarok in theaters November 3
And now one can understand the very early reports which pointed out that the script for this movie was very dark and that was also one of the reasons why Marvel decided to bring in Taika Waititi so he could add some levity and have a more balanced movie in terms of drama/humor... If we just go through several moments from the Teaser Trailer and Official Trailer we can do a list of pretty heavy and impactful "dramatic" moments.
- Thor chained up upside down in Muspelheim and also getting blasted by fire.
- Mjolnir getting obliterated by Hela. Not only his weapon of choice but also a big part of Thor as a character.
- Hela wiping out the Valkyries. Conjuring hundreds of sharp weapons and projecting them at will against an army of Valkyries.
- Asgard getting completely burned in flames. A wave of fire tearing through Asgard.
- Thor captured in Sakaar, electrocuted, hair cut, made to fight in a gladiatorial arena.
- Hela killing hundreds of asgardian warriors. Impaling them with swords, daggers, spears and even burning them in the process.
- Hela chocking Thor on the ground while he looks bloodied and helpless.
...
The Sakaar part of the movie seems to be more bright, eccentric, fun and colorful with that big influence by the Jack Kirby visuals. We also have the characters like The Grandmaster, Hulk, Valkyrie, Loki, Topaz, Korg, Miek... The look of the planet, the arena, the Thor vs Hulk fight, aliens, weapons and lasers, spaceships...
While the Ragnarok part looks to be the more epic side dealing with more heavier subjects like death and destruction of the asgardian civilization. It's more serious. We have our main villain Hela, Skurge, Fenris Wolf, Hela's minions, Heimdall, The Warriors Three... most of it set in Asgard with the grandiose and impressive scale looks. The big epic and final showdown.
And then in the middle we still have the Earth and Muspelheim sides of the story. Homeless Odin, Doctor Strange, Surtur...
http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?p=35581087#post35581087The thing is: how will they pack so much stuff in 100 minutes? That's my only worry about the movie.
Why not?No extended cut please.
One thing i noticed in the big battle on the rainbow bridge is this "pairings".
Thor & Valkyrie vs Hela
Hulk vs Fenris Wolf
Loki vs Hela minions
Thor and Valkyrie should be the ones better equipped and versed in taking on someone like Hela. While Fenris Wolf looks a lot like Hela's muscle and that is just a natural match for Hulk. Loki is probably going to be fighting and weaseling his way around foes. I hope we see a decent amount of team work too.
