The Dark Knight Rises Thread for goofs/mistakes only!

Apparently I haven't seen the film! :oldrazz:

We still have scenes in TDKR where it shows afternoon -> evening -> night, regardless of how short their edits were.

It's better than having a subtitle appear saying "30 minutes later..." or "5 months later..."

But in TDKR it switched from light day (it's hardly getting dark) to pitch black darkness in under 8 minutes with the stock exchange. And later on not only does it switch from night to day the police and terrorists have a full war all in just under 34 minutes...

Yep, I'm happy to call that a goof for now. May or may not change after I watch it again and pick up more stuff :)

As for Miranda continuity, the cut to Blake separates the scenes by some unknown amount of time, which would still allow for Miranda to join Fox in the other room. After all it was just a matter of walking down the staircase from the courtroom.

I will be honest and say I didn't notice any of these goofs. But when I get the dvd I'll probably watch for them LOL.

Can't believe nobody mentioned the rooftop fight, when Batman turns to the camera to punch/headbutt the guy, you can clearly, CLEARLY see he didn't even hit the the thug yet he fell down.

Unfortunately, I don't have a blu-ray player lol. :(

The eight year gap.
And the only who seemed to have shown having aged was Bruce with his light gray hair on his temples but everyone else looked the same as they did in TDK, not only did they diminish crime in the 8 years but they also found the fountain of youth.

Gordon looked and sounded older to me.

Alfred's aged a lot since Batman Begins too.

I know, bumping an old thread...gg.
But they're talking about the entire city both times.
I've only had one viewing of TDKR so far, so I don't remember exactly, but I thought the comment of twelve million was in regards to the island Bane took over. I'm going by that and by the map, which provided details of Bane's attack, and focused on Downtown Gotham.

you see the statue of liberty, world trade center, and empire state building in mannny shots

World Trade Center? :hmm

Yes, the huge tower that is half under construction? It is visible in many shots; and front & center in one of the bridge collapsing shots.

I would not say it is goof, In TDKR there are many time jumps due to editing, like- change of seasons, day to night transition, and as another example, the final shot of Bruce in the Bat over ocean and then Timer countdown showing six seconds remaining, In that scene they were showing some jumps there in time.

In some movies directors show a caption saying something like-- Three months later... or two hours since..., Nolan doesn't do that in TDKR.

He doesn't even explain where is the pit located in the world, is it in US ? or somewhere else ?

Another example is Bane beating Bats in severs and then a sudden jump in time and place to a scene where mercenaries are shown carrying Bruce over to pit prison.

Not everything is explained but it is not a goof either.

Sorry but the stock exchange is a goof it is one continuous chase sequence it isn't a chase that starts here that they pick up later on. It's is daytime (maybe getting dark but still nowhere near) when they all enter the tunnel then when they are out the other side it's pitch black, we already know the program needs 8 minutes to complete which doesn't help things as the program only completes when Bats picks it up.

The final battle goof is debateable I guess.
