Yes, V for Vendetta was one of the movies I was thinking I was missing, but I don't know if it will dethrone any of my top 10, have to think about that.

Also like a lot:

Thank You For Smoking
Clerks II
X-Men: The Last Stand

You, sir, have good taste in movies, which is a rare thing on this message board. I would add SUPERMAN RETURNS, though.

- Jet Li's Fearless.
- Inside Man.
- M:I:III.

i was honestly not impressed with United 93, and i am a big anti animation for best movie of the year person, so i unfortunatley disagree with most of this, but hey its all opinion anyways....i've hered last king of scotland rules though and am excited to watch it and add it to my list

1. The Departed
2. Clerks 2
3. Superman Returns
4. V For Vendetta
5. Cars

I still haven't seen The Prestige yet, though. :(

I haven't even seen 10 movies this year.
01. Inside Man
02. Clerks 2
03. Superman Returns
04. Snakes on a Plane
05. V For Vendetta

I also saw X-Men 3 and Pirates 2, but the notion of including them in any Top 10 list sickens me. :csad:

Wow. 7 movies in 11 months. I suck. :csad:

2006 Movies I've Seen
- Superman Returns: I loved this film more than Batman Begins! Honestly, most haters of this film need to say things more intelligently besides "This film sucks" and "Fire Singer." At least provide reasons why you guys hate it. I honestly think that a good majority of people (definetely not all) who didn't like it, didn't like it because it wasn't the Superman film they wanted, be it Smallville the Movie, Superman Begins, whatever!

- Casino Royale: Technically, I am tying this film right with Superman Returns. This film was not only just purely badass, it was adrenaline pumping and emotionally thrilling. I can't wait for the next Bond movie (which I hope is Live and Let Die, but chances are that it is not).

- Cars: Another Pixar classic.

- Pursuit of Happyness: I'm amazed on how Will Smith turned from Will of Fresh Prince to a role as serious as Chris Gardner while making it great. I felt for Gardner's struggle's and wanted to see him succeed so badly. I never actually felt so sad watching a movie.

- Clerks II: This movie had everything, comedy, a dance number, Jay and Silent Bob, fast food, a romance plot, a donkey show, and a guy who strangely reminded me of myself :csad:

- Snakes on a Plane: The plot is right in the title, plus it had Samuel L. "Mutha F**kin'" Jackson. What's not to love?

- V for Vendetta: This film was plain badass, though I think that they should have made it 100% like the comic. Anarchy vs. totalitarianism. A reaction against Thatcherism.

- An Inconvenient Truth: This film has changed my views on global warming.

- Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan: While Clerks II had more funny scenes, I've never been hurting while laughing at a movie (the Azamat vs. Borat fight). This movie was just a huge "f**k you!" at today's politically correct world.

- The Omen: This shows what a remake should be like. The Omen was pretty much exactly the original, just set in today's age. They did a really good job at it.

- Mission Impossible III (A.K.A Miiii): I thought this film was pretty cool. The action was good. Tom Cruise is still a good actor, despite going bat-**** crazy.

- Jackass Number Two: It's a film about guys doing stupid, disgusting, stuff. There's no plot and it's not needed because there's no story to it. It's basically the show but without the censorship and a bit longer.

- Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby: Will Farrell and Sasha Baren Cohen are hilarious

- Accepted: A comedy film is never really that deep, but their main point is to make me laugh. This film did that "Ask me about my weiner!"

- Benchwarmers: It was funny. That's about it, nothing to really say about it asides that I laughed at the movie and that it had a really dumb plot.

- Click: This film was rather mehish, it had a few funny moments, but Adam Sandler just hasn't yet matched the awesomeness of Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison.

- Scary Movie 4: It had some funny moments, I say it's above the quality of Scary Movie 2 and Scary Movie 3, but the formula is starting to get really stale.

- X-Men: The Last Stand: VERY, VERY disappointing. Basically the only way you'll like this movie is if you don't read the comics. I hated that Magneto was ONCE again the villain. The movie tried to take too many of the plots from the comics such as Gifted and the Dark Phoenix Saga. I hated that Cyclops went down like a little b***h. I hated that several characters such as Psylocke, Multiple Man, etc. were bastardized into villains. I hated the entire movie focused on Wolverine (AGAIN) and Storm (Halle Berry is a b***h). I hated that they killed Professor X. I hated that they promoted Angel as a central character yet he was barely in the film. I hated the love triangle between Rogue, Iceman, and Shadowcat. I hated that Colossus only had one line. There is just so much I hate about this movie. Only Elektra and Blade Trinity are worse.

- The Shaggy Dog: I saw this film on a plane from Shanghai to Hong Kong, it was ******ed!

Movies I Haven't Seen Yet, But Want To
Apocalypto
The Da Vinci Code
Flags of Our Fathers
Freedomland
Hollywoodland
Nacho Libre
The Pink Panther
The Prestige
Saw III
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Begining
United 93
World Trade Center

Movies I Don't Even Want To See
- The Ant Bully - Well, it looks like Warner Bros. wants to get into the 3-D CGI animation craze just like Disney/Pixar, 20th Century Fox/Blue Sky Studios, and Dreamworks Animation. Asides from Pixar's movies and Dreamworks' Shrek movies, these movies tend to suck, so I don't have any faith in Warner Bros'. attempt to do it.

- Barnyard: TOO MANY...CGI...FILMS! Paramount is also trying to cash into this fad.

- Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addicition: Yet another film that does not need a sequel and from the bad reviews I've heard...pass.

- Big Momma's House 2: Just how the hell could you make a sequel to this movie? Also the first one sucked.

- Bloodrayne: Uwe Bowl's movies suck, so why would I want to waste my time with this piece of crap movie?

- Curious George: Just simply not interested.

- Date Movie: Looks like to be yet another spoof movie of a whole collection of movies...how original :o

- Doogal: The Weinstein Company's second CGI animation attempt. Looks as dull as the first one (Hoodwinked).

- the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - I hated the first one. I never saw the second one. Car movies tend to bore me.

- Final Destination 3: Another sequel with no soul in it simply just to cash in the success of the others. The first one was cool, the second one was so-so.

- Happy Feet: Warner Bros'. second attempt in CGI animation. Same with the Ant Bully, I'll pass.

- Ice Age 2: Meltdown: I hated the first one. I have no interest in seeing this one. And as you can tell, I really don't like CGI animated films that are not made by Pixar. This trend is just a fad like superhero movies, slasher flicks, etc.

- Monster House: The second performance capture/computer animated film, I'm just not interested in seeing it, that's all. I have nothing against it...yet.

- Open Season: Well like Warner Bros. it appears that Sony is attempting to cash in on the CGI animation fad with Sony Pictures Animation.

- Over the Hedge: Asides from the Shrek films (which are starting to get ****ed out now), Dreamworks Animation's films are just terrible like Blue Sky Studios' films. Seriously why aren't traditionally animated films no longer being successful?

- Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest: The first one is the most overrated movie...EVER! Thus I have no interest in this movie. How the hell did this movie manage to make over $1 billion?

- Poseidon: Just no interest. Nothing against the film.

- Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause: Again, another needless sequel.

- Ultraviolet: This movie just doesn't seem interesting.

- Underworld: Evolution: I didn't like the first one too much.

- Van Wilder 2: Rise of Taj: Another needless sequel and how can it be Van Wilder 2 without Van Wilder in it? This just seems to be a cash in on the success of the first one.

- The Wild: I can't beleive that Disney is trying to cash in on the 3-D CGI animation without Pixar :csad:

^ in my opinion Supeman was one of the most beautiful movies to look at ever..period, but i think the plot was very vanilla, there really wasn't a whole lot to it, Lex Luthor gets out of jail, Superman comes back to Earth, Luthor tries to find a way to defeat superman, he does, Superman overcomes, pretty basic superhero movie plot. and my other big complaint about it was Superman spent 3,000 special effects, flying and saving things from falling. I would have liked to see some form of epic battle

i could never put an animation movie a head of the masterpeice that the Departed was, or the Proposition, or even V for Vendetta or Pirates, i know it takes a long ass time to draw/create the animation, but those guys have it easy compared to Gore Verbinski, who has to Film a blockbuster, with many shots in the movie taking place on a confined cramped old pirate ship, he has to get this giant Krakan up on the ship, all while making sure everything in a huge production goes right when he is in control of a decent sized town

Whoah, thanks, and here I thought I'd get laid into for having three computer animated flicks in my top ten! :D

United 93 is a hard movie to watch, and to contemplate, because it was almost like a documentary in it's presentation. There were no hero speeches, no specially lit scenes to drag some tears or awe out of you, just brought what supposedly happened as if you were another passenger, with no BS. Not a movie I usually like, but it blew me away.

Man 2006 has been a lame year for movies.

The Departed was easily the best, but I also really liked:
Little Miss Sunshine
The Inside Man
.....uh, V for Vendetta was enjoyable. I can watch it many times.
I also liked
The Descent
Monster House

and Pirates of the Carribean was atleast worth sort of getting excited about, I worked at a movie theater over the summer and this movie was HUGE.

This year in movies has really left something to be desired, for me atleast, and the holiday season is one of the weakest in recent memories. Bring on 2007. So far the two movies I was really looking forward to, the Prestige and Flags of our fathers were really dissapointing.

*Note, I am only counting movies I have seen in theaters, I have seen many more good movies on DVD.

SAW 3
The Departed
The Hills Have Eyes
Lucky Number Slevin
POTC 2
Silent Hill
Over The Hedge
The Benchwarmers
Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift
Snakes On A Plane
