TIH Sequel changes?

That is the impression that I got. But I also got the impression that Marvel is in no hurry to make another Hulk movie. So sad, I wanted to see the fulfillment of the envisioned trilogy.

Not only that, but I doubt Disney will want to put up the cash for another Hulk movie when the last 2 didnt do so well. Marvel on their own may have given the character another chance, but I doubt Disney will, they dropped the Narnia movies when the 2nd one didnt make as much as the first, this is an example on them NOT giving a franchise a 2nd chance.

He's only the most well known Marvel superhero besides Spider-Man.

Oh I agree with you there Judson. But from a business standpoint, it's just that both Hulk movies failed to be the blockbusters that Iron Man and Spiderman are.

Marvel dont control the money now though and Disney may not want to do one, if Disney dont want another Hulk movie, we wont be getting one.

Never say never. And 3rd time's a charm. Hulk is actually one of those heroes that can be divided between a PG friendly audience, and an R-rated action hero. He's a monster who's misunderstood, and the CGI is very expensive. I've enjoyed the last two movies because I've known the character for years. There's a lot of ways you approach the character. But I still think the best Hulk film must be partly like a disaster flick because the power is that awesome.

The only hope for TIH2 is that the bosses of Disney are big Hulk fans!
:oldrazz:

You guys are out of your minds. The Hulk will be back in a stand alone. TIH was a step in the right direction after the 2003 mess. The Hulk is one of the most well know characters in the Marvel universe. Disney knows this and will right the ship.

Let's hope you are right CJ.

And hopefully TIH2 will come sooner than later and it would have all the original cast.

3rd time isnt a charm for a business that will be ploughing over $150 million into the production of the movie, think with your head instead of your heart my friend, I know its difficult but reality bites.

Well, firstly, if the 2003 was a mess, TIH was a garbage storage facility :cwink:.

Secondly, it doesnt matter how well known Hulk is his last movie was essentially a flop, it barely made more than the 2003 movie and it didnt leak onto the internet like the 2003 movie did therefore taking profits away.

Disney isnt silly with its money, Prine Caspian made almost doublt TIH did and yet Disnet dropped that franchise like a bad stink. Marvel doesnt make the decisions on what to greenlight anymore, Disnet does, and I just cant see them approving a more expensive sequel to what didnt turn a profit in the first place.

I love how you use the "Work print" for short comings of 2003. LOL We shall see Jamon. I bet within two years we will be talking TIH2. I don't think Marvel would be so stupid to turn over creative control. Disney is in it to get a share of the pie. Since no one here has seen the contract, we have no idea the in's and out's. Isn't Hulk the Ride at Disney land? Ya think they might like the character. Just a little bit. :oldrazz:

really doubt Disney paid 4bill to take a "share of the Pie". They want control. They got control.

Sava!! How the hell are you. :yay:

I don't think it works that way Sava. I don't think Marvel pulled down their pants and said ok. Unless they are that stupid. Both companies profit from this. Disney get's their peice of the pie or maybe most of the pie and Marvell get's to keep making movies. Now with deeper pockets.

good CJ, i'm always around, i just dont post as much. How are things over at HS.com?

I hope you are right but i really dont think Marvel made that much money with TIH and IM to make Disney to pay them 4bill just to take a share of their profits. Have any of the guys are Marvel Studios said anything about this deal?... guys like Fiege?

I remember someone over at Hulkspace saying something to the effect that there were illegal viewings. And had those people that saw the movie illegally went to the theater, TIH would have pulled about the same as IM in the first weekend. But then again, it's a woulda, shoulda, coulda kinda thing.

umm...what?... TIH didnt get leaked, it was Ang's Hulk that got leaked onto the net like a week before the film was released in the US. I'd say that leak cost the movie atleast another 10 or 15mill.

HS is a ghost town. :csad:

I hope I'm right too. That is my point. we don't know anything about the deal os we're just speculating at this point and I'm playing the Devils advocate :woot:. If you think about it "Over 5,000 characters" isn't something to sneeze at. I don't see Marvel Comic's becomming Disney Comic's anytime soon. I would think the same with the movies. When heads start to roll at Marvel, then be afraid. Be very afraid.

Now that doesn't make sense. Who seriously would make a ride about the Hulk? That's how bad bad ideas fester.

If you're going to say that then I can say that 2003 cost TIH $ as well.

Do you guys know what happened to hulkspace.com?

If Marvel is serious about keeping their properties marketable, then they'll have to revamp the image again. What they started years ago has opened the door. There's no sense closing it yet.

That's what I'm hoping for. Now that their pockest are deeper maybe, just maybe. Keep hope (the Hulk) alive

Yeah, I remember Ang's movie getting leaked. But I distinctly remember someone talking about the illegal viewings of TIH.
