Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland - Part 1

Anyone hear about this? Comes out sometime in 2008, and I can't wait. I've wanted a movie of a "dark" Alice for a long time, and I knew that American McGee's Alice was in development hell for a long time. But Burton's is coming out within a year!

EDIT: Argh, apparently it doesn't come out til 2010. Finishes filming in May 2008 though.

Sequel coming. Linda Woolverton returns as writer. I dug the first one, so I say bring it.

As a big fan of Burton and Depp... I really don't want them to go anywhere near this.

But surely Disney wouldn't give the go ahead for a sequel without securing Depp? And the question is, would he want to do it without Burton?

 

Part of me really doubts Burton would come back. I don't know, he never seemed like he really cared about Alice; whereas you could tell he was really excited for Frankenweenie in interviews. Plus, Burton's not really a sequel guy, so we'll just have to wait and see.
