So I just saw it and I enjoyed it more than I would. The only odd things for me was the [blackout]dance of Hatter.[/blackout]
It didn't feel out of place, more that it was just done too modern-day for my liking.

Agreed; I didn't like it either, or when [blackout]Alice does it in the end.[/blackout]

Ugh, [BLACKOUT]the dance[/BLACKOUT] :funny: But hey, the end felt off anyway.

Well, I've just seen it. But I'm hungry, so this'll be short.

Cast: fabulous. Style: typical (in a good way). Length: perfect. 3D: ...blurry mess. But I knew I wouldn't like it, so just ignore that last bit. The headache will go away. Oh! I liked the smoke, though, that at least looked real enough (the Cat's or the pipe's).

The last time they show the normal version is too early for me, I'm sure I would've enjoyed the movie a lot more, oh well... 7-8/10?

White Queen's my favorite. That [BLACKOUT]yuck-expression[/BLACKOUT], haha :woot: (is that even a spoiler?) Also, the Tweedles reminded me of... someone. The wannabe-[BLACKOUT]husband[/BLACKOUT] perhaps, but now they just remind me of that Little Britain guy. Weird.

I just heard that 'Alice' fell off about 47 percent...STILL making another $62 million. Impressive.

I believe this officially makes it Burton's highest grossing movie ever.

It hasn't passed Batman at 251 M yet (but it will).

Just saw it. Actually thought it was pretty good but not as good as the animated version. That futterwaken dance was just...horrid.

Well theres a talking caterpillar, a flying cat, a crazy-ass rabbit, 2 talking eggs and a big-headed queen, so i dont see why the crazy dancing doesnt feel right.

My thing is it felt too modern day, didn't feel out of place though, just didn't like the style of dance or music used.

And there were no talking eggs.

Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum, i dont know what those guys are....but they look like eggs so.........yeah.

There're many kinds of crazy/weird/funny/etc. The dance wasn't the movie's kind, at least IMO. Actually, I think Alice's was okay, but she didn't do the whole thing, that might be why... Whatever, it's just a moment of 'bwuh?', no big deal :woot:

'Talking egg', huh. *Hm..That guy on SHH?* Oh well :awesome:

I personally liked the futterwacken. Let there be much futterwacken on the frabjulous day, indeed!

I hated that dance. Absolutely hated it.

...but I've already said that once. :oldrazz:

Here are all the Alice in Wonderland prop/costume items I have put together thus far:

By no means are all of these items 100% screen accurate, but I had a great time working on them!

Maybe Burton and Depp should stop making movies together for awhile. In the long run this codependency is going to hurt both of them. Burton definitely needs to try and experiment with other actors rather than always using the same lead. I heard the last movie he did without Depp Big Fish was really good.

It'll be the number one costume this halloween next to avatar face paint. I'm just glad the Joker impressions will die down a bit.
