Tim Burton's Dark Shadows - Part 2

So you like what pretty much all of us have agreed was the one aspect to drag the trailer down?

Okay.

I loved the music. But then again I already liked the music and have a sense of humor. :woot:

It was just a slightly edited version of the first trailer that went with Mirror Mirror.

Okay.

Yes, how dare he have his own opinion! :o

BTW I liked the music, too. I found the trailer excellent; nothing brought it down.

It's not wrong to have your own opinion.

It's wrong to have an opinion that doesn't match my own. :o

:oldrazz:

I know some were hankering for an R rating, but for summer, unless it was a straight comedy, nope.

Lol, Michelle saw Anne had a pistol and raised the stakes!

She looks great.

How cool is it that 20 years later... there is a new Selina Kyle on the screen.

And ironically its just when Michelle and Tim decide to team up together again.

AICN review also seems to confirm a big difference between how the film is being represented and what the film actually is.

I think they need to rethink their promotion for the movie then. The first trailer played up the comedic aspect way too much.

I think they're just trying not to scare off the children. I'm not sure that this strategy is quite the right way to go about it, but I guess time will tell.

I hope this doesn't turn out like the last MIchelle/Burton collaboration where parents were upset at the way the movie actually was.

Eh. I don't care much either way. People will always find reasons to put up a fuss about something.

My wife and I watched the original show in the old days...I have several DVDs of the movies made after the series ended and of the movies made from footage of the series.

We saw the trailer for this over the weekend.....son, I am disappoint.

It may turn out to be a funny movie....but when they do a remake of something scary, eerie, spooky, bloody, and gothic.....and make it Austin Powers becomes a vampire.....I will not reward them with my money for doing that.

Seriously, the way people was talking about the show I thought the film was going to be exactly like that, dark, grity and gothic not cheesy and campy. But could still be a good film nevertheless.

I don't understand why people are acting like the original show was scary, eerie, spooky, Gothic, etc. It was campy, it was cheesy and it was not very good.

I was talking to my mother about the film and she was disappointed about the trailer as well. As a fan of the original show, she said she did not like that the film seemed to be making fun of the original show. I then asked her if she truly remembered how the show was and wasn't idealizing it and she said she didn't think so. We watched it on Netflix and she had to concede.

This show isn't Justified, Game of Thrones, or The Sopranos.

Basically this is like the live action version of Thunderbirds. The show was a ****ing goof, and the movie shouldn't get all dark and edgy. They pulled that ******** with Lost in Space, and it was not cool.

Not the best analogy (Thunderbirds movie was a ripe turd), but I see what you're saying.
