that magic Johnson will have a cameo in the film this time instead of playing the team in an unrealistic time-crossing dimensionally unrealistic ad

LMAO, now I remember who you are, you are a strange one.

Not funny, seriously, any new updates?

If he updates his site, we will see it fairly quickly.

what's so strange about it... it was a ******ed ad trying to trick kids into thinking the Fantastic Four are real... good Job Fox... it makes no sense to try to merge our reality and cross dimensionalize it with fictional beings. Now people out there will think that the fantastic four actually exist.

It's just like throwing in actual celebrities into superhero films and the celebrities would play themselves... it confuses children, it's a stupid gimmick and marketing ploy. Besides, the fantastic four don't have time to play basketball

I really hope Tim Story updates his blog with better info on this... this sort of crap better not be pulled again.

I can't believe Fox tricked you like that. I too thought the FF were real and now I'm gonna file a class action lawsuit. Because of the movie I went into space and entered a cosmic storm. When I returned and set myself on fire I couldn't fly. WTF? F'n Fox evil bastaches!

:woot: Indeed. :wow: All indications seam to be doing it right this time. I think they have heard the fans, and are going to try to give them what they want. I can't wait. It should be mind boggling. The FF, SS, Galctus, Dr. Doom, Frankie, the wedding, the Fantasticar. Action. Thrills, chills and goosebumps. ( Faints ).

You really think Fox listens to the fans, they are a bunch of *******s who will NEVER listen to the fans because according the Zak Penn (another *******) "They dont have time to care about the true fans."

I truly hope this movie is good, but with FUX and collective nobheads Rothman and co, i really cant see it.

It seems to suck to be you at this point in the movie hype. :cwink:

I'm very excited about what I'm hearing and seeing at this point. Can't wait for more.

It does suck to be me at this point as Fox has control of my favourite characters and ****ed them up in X3. And Marvel themselves seem to be following Fox's 'traditions.'

I genuinly want this movie to be good, i would like all CB movies to be good, but with Fox ****ers, it seems unlikely.

What you wish for and the general audience out there are two different things. Of course Fox isn't making a 150 million dollar film for YOU. Give me a break. How is Marvel Studios following Fox's traditions so far we got a kick ass Iron man film in the works with a solid cast & crew building, and Hulk looks to be just the same. Everyone complained about the first Hulk and now they're making something different and there are still militant fanboys complaining before any cast has been annouced. Give it a rest until you actually see the product before you trash it you know.

I didnt have to see X3 to know that it would suck from the beginning, look at my post history, i knew it would be crap from the start and look what happened.

And i know Fox are not gonna make a movie for ME, softarse, but look at the fact that the most faithful adaptations of comic book have done very well at the BO and are the best thought of, look at Batman Begins, i have met two people who disliked it and i know A LOT of people who have seen it. And its the most popular movie on this board because it is very faithful. You dont think the general audience would have accepted a more faithful Dark Pheonix story? Well wake the **** up then AD.

And you have a go at me for pre-judging movies, and then in the same post you say Iron Man and Hulk WILL be kick-ass. Ha ha

Wait, I thought they didn't exist...? :cwink:

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen anyone so upset over...nothing.

Ha! I missed this yesterday. Kudos for making me laugh out loud. (it's pretty easy, but I rarely admit that.)

Why do you torture yourself? I wouldn't listen to you either. Do yourself (and all of us here) a favor and just lock yourself in your basement with your comic collection and re-read everything and stop watching the movies. I'm as "true" of a fan as there is but I have no problems differentiating the movie universe from the Marvel Universe. Sometimes change is needed and I have no problem reconciling that fact as long as they stay true to the characters. X-Men and the first FF did that IMO.

Why should Fox pay attention to a few frustrated fanboys when X3's quality and box office speak for themselves? ALL the smart critics loved X3 (Ebert, Roeper, Berardinelli, etc.) and the fact that both the box office numbers and the DVD numbers are stellar indicate that X3 pleased quite a few people.

Overall, like most people (who aren't stuck up fanboys, jealous Superman fans or Cyclops fanatics), I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed most of X3. Could it have been greater? Probably. Was is a good movie? Hell yeah.

I'm not going to bad mouth Fox when they're the only company that took the comic property rights and ran with it. Spider-Man was a no brainer but Sony has dragged ass on all other projects. Getting Ghost Rider pushed through was like pulling teeth. Universal crapped on the Hulk and left Iron Man & Sub-Mariner to die. Lion's Gate is dragging ass themselves on Punisher 2 and Black Widow, Iron Fist, etc. are all dead projects. Fox working these properties made Marvel a player and allowed them to form their own studio. You should be thanking Fox, not bitching every day about a $450 million dollar hit because they choose to make the Dark Phoenix "wrong" in your narrow mind.

FF2 will be as big an improvement over FF as X2 was over X1. If Fox is so off target then simply refuse to pay to see it and quit your whining.

Nuff said.

Wow thats probably one of the best well put statements i've ever heard on here. People like to bash fox but without the comic movies wouldn't be where they are today. Like i said you ca nnever please some comic fans no matter what.

Now this I can deal with, there comes a point when all the negativism just gets rediculous. Fox does things differently but their formula for these movies seem to be pleasing enough people to allow them to put out more.

I think that the suits are into these things too much, but I think that is because they want them to succeed so that they can give us more.

I can live with that, I WANT MORE.

The point about what happened with hulk and sub mariner is instructive although I know they could have done a hulk sequel.

Anyway today I will give Rothman a break, of course if FF2 is dull (hard to imagine with all they have going on) we may have to talk.

By the way did anyone notice that the thing looked really rocky in those new set pics and the brow is definitely distinctive now (see the piic where he is standing near a pillar).
