6 v 6 seems a bit disappointing, although i guess its impossible to say until ones played it.

CS is 5v5 and thats one of the great multiplayer FPS's of all time. Plus it'll be populated by AI. I don't see a problem but I guess we'll see when it's launched.

Yeah that seems like a good number. I'm not a fan of big maps and a crap ton of people. I don't find them to be fun

I hate large scale MP so 6v6 is great. Anything more than 10v10 tends to get a bit too chaotic with less focus and synergy between team members

I dunno about that, BF IMHO is some of the most fun I've had in MP gaming and it seems like it's a lot easier to click as a team.. Be it spotting, vehicle combat.. Taking out aircraft, being a run and gunna, spray and prayer or sniper.. It really let's you feel like you're doing something to help.

The 6 V. 6 would annoy me because I feel it the smaller scale maps tend to have more jerks that spawn camp or team members only worry about K/D
and whatnot.

I'll still be playing this (on pc) but I would prefer bigger maps.

Keep in mind it is 6 v 6 with additional AI running around, so it'll feel bigger than it actually is, which is fine. I trust Respawn to know how to make a fun MP game.

I just hope they aren't being hindered by also releasing this on the 360 (and I can't wait to see what that version looks like).

Too be honest that's why I'm MORE excited about Titan Fall 2. By that time it will be next gen only (hopefully..if they're not forced to do yearly releases) and it will also be on PS4 (I'm not big on PC gaming) so..TF2 could be REALLY impressive. :p

Is this fact?

More or less. The first Titanfall is a Xbox/PC exclusive, but the sequel is free to be on other platforms. Obviously this can change if Microsoft continues to throw money at EA.

Ah, seems to be thrown around like a fact similarly to when everyone was saying TF1 was a timed exclusive eventually coming to PS4 in 6 months to a year after the Xbox/pc release before confirmation that it wasn't. I wonder how much money it would take to secure as an exclusive going forward if TF1 turned out to be very successful. Surely these companies could make more by releasing everywhere, which would also secure the other console's fanbase for future games.

To be fair, the first Titanfall was only announced to have lifetime exclusivity during EAs financial report sometime in October, and the head of Respawn responded that it was a very recent change. So while people were speculating, it was still a possibility. Respawn responded to questions after that regarding if they would ever work on the PS4 and they said "Of course, just not the first Titanfall."

So, unless Microsoft manages to secure franchise exclusivity after Titanfall comes out, it will come to the PS4. PS4 vs. Xbox One sales will definitely come into play too. If the PS4 does continue to sell more, EA has a greater incentive to keep the sequel multiplatform.

I read something the other day that, that game is being handled by a completely different dev team(with some Respawn members as overseers.) but when pressed on who the dev was, there was no comment. The article thought it was odd that EA nor Respawn have shed any light, whatsoever on the 360 version. They don't even know whose making it.

I don't know why a big new game like this would be allowed to exclude a major console in the 1st place. Surely Microsoft aren't paying more than the total expected profit that could be made from TF1 on PS4, not to mention the franchise loyalty it would breed for sequels having been on PS4. Anyway the point is that it was always a possibility that TF1 was going to come to PS4 before EA's announcement, but despite that status it was talked about as fact rather than just good possibility (look up TitanFall article comments from before EA's announcement) to discount the advantage from having it. Console war propaganda language. And if it does happen I'm sure a lot of people will suddenly become excited about a game that they called 'just CoD with mechs' when it wasn't on PS4. :woot:

360 version is being outsourced. I don't think theyre holding back at all for that version

I'm going to play both to see how different they are. Should be an interesting comparison if different people are making it.

I was reading some comment sections on articles talking about this and there is a lot of negativity towards the 6 v 6. I saw one comment that read along the lines of "no sp, no co op, 10 year old engine and now only 6 on 6 MP, yea this has BOMB written all over it". Then there are your standard, well its "6 v 6 because the XB1 can only handle that, hopefully it'll be 12 v 12 or more when TF2 releases for the PS4". Also saw one comparing this to Aliens: Colonial Marines, by saying EA should step in and force Respawn to make the game more than 6 v 6 or risk a dev studio "doing whatever they want, resulting in a game like A:CM"

There's probably going to be close to 30 in a match at once. That's more than enough. It has nothing to do with it being on xbox one or anything stupid like it. They liked 6 v 6 with lots of ai, seeing how great their past mp games have been, I trust them

Its not even really about trust, i mean the people who have played this game have come away REALLY impressed and very few of them, if any, mentioned the 6 v 6 being a draw back.

Wasn't expecting 6v6 but AI should still make you feel like your taking part in a huge conflict.

I don't think anyone was reasonably throwing a PS4 release around as a confirmed fact, just common sense. I still have my doubts about it, honestly.

They have confirmed there will be about 48 people on the map. That'll feel plenty huge

Titanfall xbox one controller. Consider yourself bought. March 11 is going to be an expensive day

The controller looks pretty good. I may get it.
