If that were the case, wouldnt the world be over run by Gremlins by now? The ship sinks, Gremlins go in the north Atlantic, multiply exponentially? The sinking of the Titanic would have ushered in the end of the world. :csad:

True, very true. But then, they seem helpless when in water, so they could've all drowned and/or froze to death before being able to do anything.

Ferret's got a point. The act or reproducing causes them a lot of pain [case in point, they usually fall to their knees or flat on their belly when reproducing], so they would likely not be able to keep themselves afloat during the process. Not to mention that water burns them with just a small trickle, so if they were covered halfway in water, the pain would be so bad, they'd probably go into shock, and drown. Even if by some chance they DID end up surviving the birthing process, they were far enough away from land and civilization where it wouldn't matter because too much water separated them from us so that they couldn't be considered a pest.

well.... with this part, it's not exactly true... after all in the first gremlins they multiplied and attacked the town by way of YMCA pool

A pool is much different than the ocean, the water still made them vulnerable, and was likely painful too, but they were apparently still able to get out of the pool, but being in the middle of the Atlantic would doom them for sure.

The answer is simple, sunlight. They repopulated with Sharks flossing with them until daylight hit, then they all died instantaneously from the sunlight, and those who didn't drowned.

Same answer for whether Superman and Lois could have a kid. Everyone thinks their kid would kick a hole in Lois, but Superman gets his powers from a yellow sun. So if the baby is in the womb until birth, she's be safe. Actually giving birth tho....doctor's may want to use mechanical arms to help pull the baby out, and Lois might...well...let's just say baby 2 probably would become impossible (think Superman ripping open steel doors).

(GIF thread now the "Let's discuss fictional character reproduction and what part sunlight plays in it" thread)

The sunlight factor was a given, of course.

So, basically, the hypothetical Gremlins on the Titanic would've only served to make the recovery of the survivors a hell of a lot weirder. Glad we got to the bottom of that.

Now, on to the next topic:

word, i'll txt if y'know someone is having a baby or to tell people i'm in a movie, but even then i try to cover my phone with my hat so as to not bother other people. i see alot of folks putting their phones up level with their heads and telling their friends what someone just txted them, it can become a problem

how about you just turn the ****er off for 2 hours?? is your life really that hectic you cant be out of contact for 120 minutes??

no, you gotta keep it on for emergencies. how would you like it if your mom, god forbid, had a heart attack and died while you were at the movies and you missed your chance to say goodbye because you were too busy watching step up 3d?

She probably killed herself anyway because their child was watching Step-Up 3-D.

Oh I'm hella going to see that.

I actually want to see Step Up 3-D. As the Step Up franchise needs the upgrade to the third dimension as their dance moves are too off the hook for only two.
