That's an interesting hypothesis. Certainly possible. Ile hope its for cybersuit. As I would prefer wirework. Which would be cheaper than cgi.
Thanks.

I like this as the explanation.
Thanks.I don't want a battle suit though. I mean they have super powers already, that should be enough. A cool cg suit is fine with me though. I actually liked the GL suit, and the movie was alright (as good as IM2 and nearly as good as TIH in my book).
Thanks. I think we get caught up in elaborate explanations as fanboys. While I would drool at the thought of Metallo, Brainiac, Darkseid, or even Doomsday it seems likely that it could be Shannon. If that's the case it is Zod. If it is Zod I assume since we have not seen any wire rigs yet, they could be doing cgi shots first. So it would make sense that they mark where they want his height.
That's awesome. But still: no trunks. This was the MCG's costume

Whoever posted that article can't even spell Ursa right. I'm still not buying it.I guess I'm not entirely convinced yet that it's Shannon in that mo-cap suit with the giant height extender. Why would Zod be 8+ feet and some inches tall, but Faora wouldn't?
I do have to point out, though, that whoever it is in the mo-cap suit... has got some serious back. Like, damn.
Ah yes, Zod challenging Kal-El to Fisticuffs would be so EPIC!I can picture him floating at a downward angle until finally he lands. FACE OFF TIME!

I have no idea if they're right, but according to latino review, thats michael shannon with the mo-cap gear on.
''Second observation: Is General Zod going Green Lantern style and getting a motion-captured costume? Because thats Michael Shannon wearing the mo-cap greys, and hes the new Zod''

A Kryptonian battle suit would be worthless on Earth.
I understand what you're saying but even on earth the two kryptonians would be like a normal fight to each other. His battle suit would give him an edge.
Except it wouldn't, because like the man said upthread
Not really. In theory, the armor would be meaningless. They wouldn't be able to withstand flipping eye lasers and punches that can break the sound barrier.

In theory? It's comics.
Why wouldn't it? In the stories i've always read, Kal-El's ship is stronger than any metal around. I believe he even uses a piece of it to reflect his heat vision to shave and cut his hair...(at least according to the old comics)
Is that your way of conceding?
You're comparing their version of a tank to their actual armor. Armor that wasn't built for yellow sun combat.
I believe its more of a density thing under the yellow sun. What powers Supes is, his cellular structure becomes more dense under a yellow sun. I would just guess that the same thing happens to Kryptonian metals---their cellular structure densities intensify.
I love talking about this stuff...God bless this board!
I'm not sure. They look like cuffs in the bank photo, but they're made from some highly reflective material.Does Superman have some sort of Wonder Woman style gauntlets on or is that just some sort of flare from the camera/lighting?
I am not sure about that, but even so the suit isn't made of metal though is it?
Not sure. In the lore, his suit material is indestructrible as well.
For fun, here's a pic of Supes shaving:
