I bet everyone is thinking it, tho its unlikely. Doomsday.

And another thing, this was supposed to be the Kryptonian main villain (the Zod wannabe Ty-Zor) in the Abrams/McG version. Faora's costume seems to echo this one.

This. It looks like it was Shannon in the mocap suit. So that thing Supes is looking up to IS Zod. Can't wait to see what are they going to make him look like. Seems like Zod is indeed going to be very different from the SII Zod, which is a very good thing.
Why would Zod be twice as big as Superman? No incarnation has ever been.
IF that is Shannon in the mocap suit, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Zod wearing some big hulking nasty suit of armor akin to Russian Zod or "For Tomorrow" Zod.
That would be cool, but I don't think so, personally. Even Russian Zod or "For Tomorrow Zod" wasn't twice as big as Superman. Half as big, tops.
Well in the first set pic that we got of (allegedly) Zod I think it was MS. He was in the same mo-cap suit but there was no pole on his head.
It's called not working. The guy was probably not needed on set for a short time and just took the pole off. I still don't think that's Shannon.

Well Another Superman movie ruin by Hollywood.:csad:

*sigh* I am going to miss the trunks.

Not a hater of the new suit, think it looks 'alright'... But looking at comparison manips makes me sad :(

For muscle definition to show, I think it has to be padded.

It has to have some sort of padding. He certainly looks big in it. It looks like what Superman should look like. The long cape, the broad shoulders. He still looks lean enough around the waist as you can see from the picture taken on the side. Definitely a great looking suit. The padding is done in a very subtle way. It certainly is going to give him a great defined look on screen.

Why are people so intent on bashing a film they haven't even heard the slightest thing from? All we have is pictures to go on. How can you assume it is ruined already if you don't even know what these pictures represent?!

I don't think it will be all paddings. There are already several interviews going around where Cavill said he had to put on serious muscle. He was on a 5000 calories/day diet.

Oh no doubt. It seems to have a pad around the shoulders, and some lines of padding around the waist to give the "V" lines around the hips and in the official picture it looks like one running down the bicep to give the impression of the veins and muscle. But the rest of it looks like it is him. The suit seems to have a very thin layer of padding to give the definition. Something built maybe right into the cloth to have definition show through the suit. But he has to fill the suit. And he has the scenes in West Africa to film as well. If it is Birthright inspired you know if he is looking muscular and defined that he must have the obligatory shirtless scenes. Probably a good idea too since he is Superman after all. If all the lesser heroes show off their physique, (Spider-Man, Batman, Thor, Captain America and even Robert Downey Jr) Superman should too.

it's funny how people are already passing judgment on a movie we know very little about, aside from 1 official costume pic, a bunch of set pics, and a brief casting call story synopsis.......

the sad thing is........when you look at this and other concept art from the failed Superman project, they make SR seem even more boring and blah in comparison........

I'm glad MOS seems to be bringing excitement back to Superman!

Awesome stuff, ****'s about to go down judging by those pics.

Personally, I think the suit looks pretty damn cool. I would have liked if they kept the trunks, but I'll ignore that if the film is good.

I think it looks great, trunks or no.

It looks like crap. It needs something to brake up all that blue. That's what the shorts was for in in the first place.

That is NOT Superman and I won't be spending my money on it.

i wonder what is the budget of the movie?

it sure look like a scene from the superboy tv series - Laila.

the female villain looks more vicious and cool in the tv series.

What's iconic is the S shield, the flowing red cape, and the guy within the costume.

So you will not be watching the movie at all? What if that is the last time we see a Superman movie in theaters for 20 years again? I waited all my life from the time I first read about Superman to 2006 to see Superman in theaters. I didn't care for it but I still saw it because I figured, who knows, I might never see another Superman movie in theaters again. Or at least maybe not until I am 40 years old. If I have gone to see crap like The Change Up or whatever other stupid thing is playing in theaters, why wouldn't I go see a Superman movie?
