TM's salary vs. screentime

Who cares what the jokers abs look like, I just wanna see Dunsts boobies in this film.

I'm not trying to troll, but I will take this a step further...if I am so wrong, someone show me a behind-the-scenes picture of Maguire in the full costume. and I'm not taking about the little "half" costume used for chest-up shots of Maguire with no mask. Show me a pic from this production of maguire in full costume, sans mask or some other way of confirming its him.

When what has been called by witnesses who viewed the footage at the CES as "one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen in my life" in which Tobey battles it out with Harry donning absolutely no costume at all, unless I am missing something - your request seems quite pointless.

Yes, you are missing something, and it almost proves my point, at least from my point of view.
The costume is skin tight. It's hard to hide what kind of shape you are in underneath it. During the Harry/Peter fight, when he is in his street clothes, you can easily hide a little bit of a gut with clothing and camera shots.
Next.

power to him for being able to sell his name like that

to be fair there's a lot of voice work he would have to do too

sm 1.. the scene in the rain (both fight and kiss)

and sm2. the whole bit in the end

tobey is in full suit for both those scenes
plus there's a lot of inbetween stuff in both films

There's also a production picture of Tobey standing in the doorway all Spideyed up holding his mask (which appeared in the trailer) while MJ is talking to him. He looks great in the suit. I actually think Tobey looks better than the stuntmen, who are usually too big or/and too tall. They should use Tobey more, but I'm not stupid enough to convince myself that Tobey is a freakin' stuntman. Hire the best for the Spidey stunts, because Maguire simply can't do what they can do.

Reading this thread gives me an ice cream headache.
How did talk about TM salary evolve into "doing his own stunts" talk?

Almost all franchise actors have backend deals. But his base salary for SM3 has been reported as 10 mil.

What I wonder is how much it will take to bring him back for number 4 but that's probably a sequels forum topic. My guess is $20 mil. minimum.

I think it more devolved. Mostly because people keep trying to convince me and themselves that Maguire is in the suit a lot in the movies. It's not working.

what does it matter how many times he's in the suit?

he's being paid to be an actor
not to be a stunt artist

yeah, tobey still does stunts though, sometimes hard ones.

Good gosh I am getting tired of this question...
My original point was that Maguire may well set a record for screen time vs. salary, meaning he may make more per minute of screentime than any other actor ever has. All you have to do is read the title of the thread to answer this question.
And, kudos to whoever found the above pics of Maguire in the costume. I stand corrected on that point, though I am thinking it could be recycled footage from SMII when MJ shows up at his apartment after ditching the wedding.
However, until I can prove that it is such, I will concede that it is SMIII footage.

Uhmm The Costume "Ripping" Scene is all done by Maguire. Not a Stunt Double, not a body double. He was the only one wearing that torn up costume at the end of taping. Wait for the "behind the scenes" vids coming up

And uh, this thread is stupid.

what are you talking about? MJ was in a wedding Dress, Peter was in his Civis.

o_O I Dub Thee, Skeptic-Sam.

Well, that is the version that appeared in the final cut. You have no idea how much/how many different versions of that scene were filmed.
"This thread is stupid"
I thought that some people who really dig Maguire in the role might be able to put another feather in their collective caps and say with pride that Maguire made more money per minute of screen time than any actor before, but at this point, I give up. I was actually on your side, guys, you just didn't like the way I was coming at it.

I thought it already was dead. Who the f*** brought it back?
