I never thought of this, though it seems like something we'd see in the comics. Now that I think of it I'm sure he probably has Under Armour tights on with a built-in codpiece thing to "eliminate any definition." He could've swung home wearing that.

Yes, I think underpants would give him an unsightly pantyline, which would totally ruin the look of the suit.

Besides, if somebody saw him naked in a Catholic church he could just say he's an altar boy.

So then why does this thread even exist. Doesn't this scene in spidey 3 fit in the "It's A Comic Book Film" bin?

We can assume he still had his jazz club clothes nearby, but what it all boils down to is that this is the kind of fast-paced carelessness with storytelling (aka studio-influenced editing) that made this film less enjoyable than the first two. I mean, in S-M 2 we get to see Spidey riding in the elevator with the dog-walker and Peter dragging his wrecked scooter down the sidewalk - two brief scenes that, while providing mild comic relief, also give a sense of realism to the situations Peter/Spidey finds himself in.

I understand there is a definite symbolic need to show Peter in the "cleansing" shower as soon as he rids himself of the symbiote, but a mildly comic transition scene WOULD have benefited the movie.
