No you can't compare. That's called Captain Hindsight. Vader was featured in an entire movie. Thanos gets 2mins.

Why don't you wait to cast worry when there's a movie that ACTUALLY features the man. I'm curious, how old are you? I'm legitimately asking.

And why do you legitimately ask? I'll admit sub-consciously i like to try and think of faults for a movie as to calm my excitement for it in case it does not live up to my hype. Especially since TDW which i was looking forward to for ages.

I do the same thing for my favourite sports teams before a big game.

I still don't understand why you are confused about the Vader thing. In his first scene he is a badass with an amazing entrance, if it was left there he would have been cool.

You have fun worrying.

Did I say he sucked? I said I was worried cos Marvel has only produced one great villain in all there movies and that is mostly down to the actor.

One?

Red Skull
Loki
Obadiah Stane
Winter Soldier
Justin Hammer

Were all good.

I'd say even say Malekith was decent. Probably would have been better with a better story.

Well you listed great villains in the comics

Winter Soldier was great but wasn't enough of him although i enjoyed Pierce as well so I do kind of take back my one and say two.

Skull and Stane were ok, I did enjoy Hammer but he was kind of a second fiddle to Whiplash who was bad.

Damn rock. I agree with you, but do you gotta be such an arrogant condescending ass to people all the time?? Hahha man cut people some slack, the way you speak to people whose opinion and worries are dumb in your mind is what appears childish my dude. Cut him some slack

Appreciate it dude :woot:

I'm allowed to worry that Thanos isn't amazing if i want to.

Not interested in having this conversation with you because it will surely go nowhere. If condescension is my crime, then 99% of the people posting on this site better take a good look in the mirror, including yourself.

You know what I worry about in life? Making sure bills are paid and there's food on the table.

Understand now why you asked me my age, to see whether I had nothing else to worry about apart from whether a character in a movie is gonna be good or not.

That is fair, to clarify whilst I am worried about Thanos, cos he is one of my favourite villains of all time. I totally understand there are bigger things to worry about :)

Yes, agreed. But not in the way you do. As you continue to prove my point. You know what I worry about in life? Applying to graduate school and securing my future. However I, like you, am a member of this little community. Just because the interaction isn't personal like it with someone in your life, doesn't make it okay to treat people lesser. If I see someone being...for lack of a better term, picked on or insulted, I'm gonna go ahead point it out.

But as you said we aren't gonna see eye to eye. So carry on

That behaviour is common with several posters in the Marvel forums and it's so freaking annoying. Grow the **** up, jesus.

You telling me to grow up? I didn't mean anything bad or problem inducing by my comment. Didn't mean to cause an issue. Was just trying to mediate, my bad guys

He was referring to me Jaq. Not that it really matters. LOL

That's a fun way to live, worrying about things all the time before anything even happens. Sounds good. You think of faults in movies before you even see them? You worry about your favorite sports team before a game? Fun way of living. Enjoy that haha.

So throw those people on ignore if it bothers you so much, they're not gonna change just for you. So either deal with one way or another, there's an ignore list.

Oh I love you guys lol..

Anyway, the mad Titan. I wonder if he has any sort of accent?

I love how in the interview Karen referred to him as Thaynos and everyone else pronounced it the way it's spelled. I wonder if she says it any differently in the film

Technically, one can only worry before the thing that one worries about happens. You can not worry about it at the same time, or after it happens. It is not worry then.

On topic though, I really look forward to seeing the MCU's version of Thanos. It is the sinlge thing I look most forward to from GotG. The rest i just a bonus. A huge bonus, but still a bonus.

Agreed, Thanos is most of my excitement for this movie

We love you too haha, but yeah I've never said it Tahynos. Karen said it that way but I wonder if Nebula would say it how everyone else was. I'd expect she will if she refers to him.

It's not what you say, it is how you say it. Even here you're being a bit passive aggressive. It's just unnecessary. I think you're an alright dude though. I'm just saying.

Anyway perhaps they are being a bit too cute with Thanos. Maybe they should have had him cut loose a bit more in this film. Show a display of power, something we haven't seen from any superhero villain in any movie before.

Marvel keep teasing him and teasing him, and whilst us fans know that he is a massive threat, will average viewers just be like "what is the big deal?" and get bored.

I hear you, but I think that has more to do with reading words as opposed to being able to see someone's face or hearing vocal tone. My response was very literal.

Well from what we know, we do get to see Thanos show a display of power.

Will people get bored? No most definitely not.

Definately agree with that. It would also be awsome if they also showed his mastermind intellect, with him executing a plan that is both genial, and at the same time very brutal.

How can you answer that definitively?

It doesn't bother me though. It's a dream come true to see these characters and especially Thanos on the big screen. And i'm sure Marvel will do him justice when the time really comes. But i'm a fan already. They need to convince non-fans that this dude is worthy of the "Emperor of the MCU" tag.

I think it'd be a good idea to have him as the main villain in Thor 3, with that film directly leading into Avengers 3.

You can't really get bored if he is shown in glimpses, maybe if he starts to get loads of scenes and such and he still just kind of sits there.

Yea, something different that simply manipulating other people to do his bidding. Something more complex and truly nefarious.

I'd also hope that they give him psychic abilities. Who wouldn't want to see Thanos mind whammy someone and turn them into a vegetable? Or give them truly horrific, nightmarish visions that makes them literally lose their mind.

There is an old story from the 70s. A Jim Starlin classic. I'm sure he must have been on acid when he wrote it. Thanos mind ****s Drax and it is one of the most trippy and nightmarish Marvel comics i've ever seen.
