The beginning of the movie was incredibly cheesy. I felt like I had already watched it because, well, it was SO FREAKING PREDICTABLE! There was nothing this movie had in it's favor, except for that scene with "MOSHZILLA"
The whole father son interaction was like DAREDEVIL, except Johnny Blaze didn't take off his father's boot. I would'nt be surprized if Mark Steven Johnson either had to do that for his dad, or just doesn't know how to write any different.
Satan had Kingpin's cane, all the demon's dressed like Bullseye, and as stated earlier by many others, Wes Bently's acting was like... screw it, i dont even want to get into it about that.
The only reason some CG scene's looked good is because most of the CG was horrible. Terminator had 100x better special FX, (and I am talking about the first one)
Nick Cage was great, except the writing was wretched, the only thing worst the writing was the timing... and Wes. What a waste of a cool name...
The writing, my goodness, legend has it the writing was bad. Legend has it, it was real bad. Why on earth would Sam Elliot wait 125 years to ride with Ghost Rider so he could do what? Show him a town and give him a gun then die? And what the hell did Ghost Rider do that deserved a thank you from Mr. Elliot? Really? what the hell did he do? He never argued or showed him anything new, just that he loved his dad and was willing to sell his soul?
Why wasn'y the concepted of EVERYONE knowing who Ghost Rider was explored more? Jesus Christ this movie was bad. Maybe it seemed so bad because I had just watch Waking Ned Divine and the Prestige litterally the day before.
as for the directing... the hack just took shots from Daredevil and put Ghost Rider in them. Mark Steven Johnson is to action/comic book movies what Shaun Levy is to comedy/family movies.
I enjoyed Daredevil, I enjoyed the original way more then the director's cut, and maybe that is saying something...
Anyways, on the positive side
Jelly Beans
Monkeys
The Johny Blaze interview
"Do you think I am pretty?"
"Moshzilla's" interview
The finger
The good cop/ bad cop scene
Mark Steven Johnson should just do movies like "The Hills Have Eyes" and siht like that for the rest of his life. He should stay the **** away from MARVEL properties, those characters get enough siht to deal with when Bendis gets to write for them (but Bendis kicks ass and knows how to write the characters,) they don't need anymore crap from MSJ. If any movie threatens the future of comic book movies, it is this movie, with this man, MSJ.
Why aren't there more Sam Raimis in hollywood?
