Tom Welling as Superman Manips

I was thinking. What if Clark doesn't change his Blur outfit that much.
I been making up this scene in my head where he is in The Blur outfit in the fortress but without the coat on. They haven't shown his clothes in detail without it, so suppose that it already is a very dark blue.

So in order to lighten his image up he just opens the box with the read cape he got as a present a few season ago, tweaks with the overall design a bit, add a belt and be done.

I for one hate the idea of adjusting the canon suit too much, but in the Charades ep I really got a liking to the silver, and glowing \S/ symbol.

Here's my manip of him training in the fortress without the coat:

A couple of more manips I made with the same theme as I posted above.

I think it would be cool if he started wearing this as the blur:

Which is actually his training uniform covered with a coat:

Which he modifies to this:

Of course that would only be a first epic battle outfit against Zod or whoever ends up as the final and ultimate baddie.

He would then use this for his first public statement:

:woot:

:wow: that's awesome. I still wonder why the h@l* SM producers haven't put the glasses on Clark on Smallville. I wonder how they'll explain how people "can't recognize" him. . . .

Thanks!:) You know what, I just realized the perfect solution for the problem:

(This scenario depends on Lois knowing the secret)
During the press conference:

Lois to Superman:
Did you know that you have an identical twin in Metropolis? This is my partner at the Daily Planet: Clark Kent!
Clark (in glasses and played by Martian Manhunter) makes an inbarrased wave as the media photographs him.

Superman to Lois: (With a jokingly smile) Well you know what they say about everyone having an identical twin somewhere on earth... apparently that's also true for aliens. But I assure you, miss Lane, as long as mr Kent doesn't start flying around in the sky and I'll start wearing glasses, I'm sure we can avoid getting mixed up!

Everyone laughs, problem solved and End Scene.:)

I think I saw something similar in the comics, can't remember. . . . That's actually pretty good.

heh... why go through the trouble of a globle mindwhipe when you have a friend who's a shapeshifter?

:woot: True. I would hate to see a "global mind wipe / erasing". That (your idea) works quite well.

cool manip, and reguarding clark kent/superman identity yea that is going to be an interesting thing to see what they do if we see it.

spawnjack01: is that a black outfit, or blue? Or maybe, based on one of my redesign ideas, black with blue highlights?

Could we get a full body shot of that costume concept?

It's a really dark blue design.
I agree with what was said a couple pages ago that they should not make more steps in between what he wears now and the finished uniform. But I played around with how they should do the steps if they have too.

The concept is built on a thought of Clark wearing kind of a cadet uniform under the coat as the blur. A design inspired of Jor-El in SM I and the black suit in Lois and Clark.

To set himself apart from Zod plus metaphorically waving a red flag in front of the bull that is Zod so to speak, he adds the red cape he got as a gift awhile back. Then when he decide to go public he continues modifying it to what we know and love.

Me too dude, but i think its the only way they can go to be honest. I have a feeling that it will Jor-el that will be doing the mind wipe. Although we havent really heard him in along time. Would love to see some scenes of Clarke training. Would Be so awsome!!:wow:

that would be such a dam copout for the show, and just ruin character developments and all that. i would think the producers would see that not and all that.

One little piece of info: I'm afraid that if or when we see Clark in the costume, it'll just happen because it does. For a show about how Clark became Superman; the costume is one of the major things the show hardly, if ever, focused on. The best thing we need in order to better explain how could Clark now create a costume that is the Superman costume, isn't by wearing what he is wearing now. But by going through a similar costume montage as seen in Spider-Man (2002), in order to show, from his POV, his inspirations, the trials and errors, what led to the concept, the influence of the cosume idea by the kid from "Warrior", all ending with the final design with the Superman costume. We need that to explain the costume development on the show.

P.S. The Book of Rao better show show Clark, a) a major influence for the costume, or b) the costume.

I've thought for awhile as well that they would need to utilize MM posing as Clark to help establish that he is not Superman.

Really can not wait to see what they do come up with for an explanation on this whole secret identity thing.

So now that we've seen the costume, let's see some manips!

On looking at it from the screengrabs (both the costume from the opening on the new "S"); even though the Smallville "S" was a combination of Superman Returns and the Earth-2 Superman; the new "S" featured seems to be more Classic/Curt Swan/Silver Age, if you get my drift. The colors; the blue seems to be dark blue (aka Lois & Clark), but the red is questionable. On one hand, going by the new "S"; the red seems to be brighter than the blue, more striking. Examples I could use would be Clark's red jacket he wore more on the show until he stopped in Season 8, and the red seen in Reeve's Superman costume, preferrablly Superman: The Movie. On the other hand; the red could as well as dark red. My only evidence to that is the shot where a red and blue blur of what'sd obviously Superman passing by; the red has a darker shade like the blue does. Another piece of evidence is when we see Superman lift the plane from the bottom; I would figure if the red was brighter, we would've seen the red stand out more, but it's actually more darker, almost like maroon (ex. Superman Returns). But, then again, looking at the lifting the plane shot once more; when I zoomed in, the red on the "S" seemed more brighter on the red from the rest of the costume. I don't know if that was because of the yellow, but it is something to keep in mind. The costume design itself, going by what we are able to see from that reflection, seems to be the Superman Returns costume, with the exceptions being, of course; red instead of maroon, the new "S", the "S" being a bit larger (it seems it still keep the same size, but enlarged just a tad), and the trunks is a bit larger too.

Other than that, that's all I could figure out. Now it's your guys turn.

yea i would love to see someone take a good image from what we saw in the future flash and come up with some nice images. Actually it looks to be bright red/blue when we saw him flash by, and looked a bit darker in the reflection due to being under the plane.

Yea, I just noticed that. Still, it could still be dark blue and dark or bright red; the lightness depends on the tone of the colors. But, if someone does those manips, we can have alternates :D

yea we need some clear, HD images of the whole scene to get a clearer look on thing.s cause the one image i seen of the scene online it was a more darker image so it made the red look darker.
