Also given that the finale of Salvation showed a traditional 'S' design then in the premiere they went with the SR design, then in episode 2 went back to the traditional 'S' design it's definitely not a given that the SR 'S' will be the one used. they, ATM, can't seem to make up their minds so..

I didn't know when it was posted so I'm sorry about that, But...

The two times the suit and the \S/ was actually shown, Once when Lois looked in the box and then in the fortress, It was the SR \S/ so IMO it's a safe bet that they are going to use the SR \S/.

Either way could you please manip the SR \S/ on it, Pleeeeease? t:

I don't think they're going to use the Superman Returns costume. I really don't. Why the hell otherwise would they show us glimpses of the Superman in the future with a yellow s on his cape that is so different from the s on the chest?

Well I don't think they will use the exact suit from SR, I think they will change it alittle, But the \S/ they are showing IS the one from SR.

It doesn't make sense, though, since Superman's cape in 2017 is the classic emblem and not the SR one. I doubt he'll have one design for the suit and a different one for the cape.

I would just like to add that either way they go with the costume the manip that Man Of Steel did above is one of the best manips of Tom as Supes I've ever seen.

And I'm NOT saying that just because I want him to adjust it alittle. Even if the \S/ is never changed, I will still feel that way.

another thing to think on through the yrs clark as superman probably alters his suit from time to time. But as for the show now i do hope in the end they will have their own thing.

If you are talking about the shot where Clark sees his future by seeing the cape flapping...

1) That could have been just a representation of what could be.... Or

2) That shot could have been before the producers decided on a final design.

to be technical yes they have used the Sr S but they also have used the classic S too in the show. The blur suit 1.0 was sr like with some slight changes. But blur 2.0 suit is totally sporting the classic S if u look at it.

Ok, I just watched the clip on youtube again and after seeing the pic smooth3006 posted and stopping the clip I saw it.

Man you guys watch this stuff way to closely,t: That went by so fast it's no wonder I didn't see it.

Anyway, It doesn't change the fact that the \S/ on the front that we have seen so far is the \S/ from SR.


How did we get into this debate again? All I wanted was a small change to a great manip. I didn't think it would cause this.

The issue with the SR suit in Smallville is that it was simply a prop. For those ten seconds of screen time it got to simply make the impact they wanted to see there was a suit. otherwise fans would've complained about that sudden brush off. Their suit hasn't been decided or finalized it seems, and it would have been pointless to rush it to have it ready for a simple prop for the premiere.

As of right now the latest S we've seen is the classic one on the new Blur suit and again on the cape in Homecoming. Whether it is the classic, SR, or Smallville's own custom one they've used before remains to be seen. With the final scene, the shirt rip would be very lackluster to most since we've already gotten one before last season. Doubtful they'd go that route with one already being done. Especially after hinting at the use of a full suit.
