I'd love to be in LA right now.
We'd love to have you....try some King Taco while you're here.![]()
That might have something to do with the fact he (and the rest of the cast) have a long holiday weekend. It's thanksgiving in Canada so 100% everyone would get Monday off. He probably just decided to go with the wife to LA since it wouldn't be a one day trip.
Let's not read that much into it
Ahhhh! Where's the fun in that?![]()
Anyway, I don't think Tom would waste a holiday weekend in LA. His trips to LA usually signal business. His free time is spent elsewhere, such as Martha's Vinyard with family and friends.
Indeed something is going down
wow...
just wow
i can't believe how these things get going -- but clearly they do

Batphone??jesus, it's UNCANNY how quickly someone gets a "Welling debunk" story up these days.
And we're back to running to Al Gough again on this? I dont know if this website or this interview is legit or not, but if as the rumor says Al has some kind of verbal agreement with WB, do you think he's going to tell some no name internet site about it? Think about, if he says "yes" he basically steals WB's thunder on the casting of Superman. His NDA would still be in effect and he's still gonna be in denial mode.
again Tom may have nothing to do with this project but asking a guy about it who is going to say "No" either way is a fool's errand.
and how do all of these websites have the guy on speed dial?![]()
"...studios have spies that watch the web and I know some of the new people that have jumped over from other sites recently are spies trying to find out who gave me info so they can plug the leak. It's obvious by the questions they ask in emails. I'm not stupid. I've also started to wonder if anything myself and others have been told was done on purpose to flush someone out or to just create confusion in the hopes people will stop talking this while they finish putting whatever deals together. Unfortunately, I don't believe in coincidences. Everything has a reason in my book."
* Though the studio will still not officially confirm it, Warner Bros.' League feature is scheduled to begin production in Australia next February under Happy Feet director George Miller. But some Hollywood power players aren't taking it too well, given that the movie could hinder future plans for DC Comics film franchises, including the ongoing Batman and Superman series, and long-gestating theatrical takes on Wonder Woman and the Flash. Sources say that Warner Bros. was prompted to move quickly on Justice League by three factors: a screenplay that 'they flipped out over; an open spot in their summer 2009 calendar; and the increasing probability of an industry-wide strike that would shut down all productions by next July.
* The plot revolves around villainous businessman Maxwell Lord and involves cyborgs called OMACs (One-Man Army Corps), who can take over humans and turn them into killing machines. There are epic battle scenes between Superman and Batman, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman, and League could spawn a slew of additional franchises if it's successful.
* Christian Bale is not expected to star as League's Batman, and many in Hollywood are wondering whether this continuity breach will distract audiences who turn out for The Dark Knight next July. Director Christopher Nolan is reportedly unhappy that the studio is making League. (Nolan is currently ''knee-deep'' in production and unavailable for comment, according to his reps.) Sources close to director Bryan Singer say he had to be reassured that Man of Steel wouldn't be affected.
* [Warner Bros.] declined to comment for this story, but according to one source familiar with their plans for League, 'Warner doesn't believe they are cannibalizing [these other franchises] partly because it's unlikely Brandon and Christian will be in it. They believe the movies can live in parallel universes. Sources say that concerns about hurting individual franchises are what kept Warner Bros. president and COO Alan Horn from greenlighting a multi-superhero movie for years.
And the *really* irritating part? Raku took the time and effort to transcribe the article for folks here and over in the DC Comics forum, and they CLOSED the freakin' thread over there. WTF?????yeah that was in last week's EW
Don't get me started. LOLwho knows? I also dont get the Hype's insistence on not giving JLA it's own forum either? They posted the Variety article confirming the movie, what else do they need? They've got a bunch of people who want to talk about it too. Yet crap like "Wanted" get's its own forum and it has like 5 threads in 6+ weeks. Go figure
Don't get me started. LOL
So the lull after the storm is kind of interesting. I rattled the events around in my head all afternoon and I'm still coming to the same conclusions: the poop storm over Welling aint over yet.
I think he did, once before. But Jayne made an interesting point about extenuating evidence: if you've got multiple sites saying he's in, and one site with an "exclusive" saying he's not, who ya gonna believe? As for this Justiceleagueonfilm guy. A lot of it sounds fishy. He's been posting the new Welling rumors on his blog for a while, but just now decides to phone Gough and ask about it? If Gough is that accessible to him, why didnt he just do that in the first place instead of continuing to posted the IESB, CD stuff for a week?
Sanchez said:No doubt that WB is pissed of all the leaked info, I got a call from a friend that works over at DC/New York and told me that they are pissed at me, oh well.
So far we know that all of my early stuff including that at one time WB looked at mo-cap (variety confirmed) for the film then went 100% live action, that it was scheduled for an early 2008 start, that it's scheduled for 2009 release, about what characters will be in it (Martian Manhunter was added later), was 100% right on regardless what some haters try to spin.
I have been guaranteed by multiple sources that Welling was always in the mix for for Supes, have they been feeding false info to find out were the leak is coming from? Maybe, like I said earlier this week, none of my sources could confirm CountingDown's story that Gough/Millar had agreed to anything.
Going back to those pics of Tom and his wife, they don't prove that he went to WB for anything.
Get me a pic that shows Tom going to the WB Burbank lot and maybe you have something but even then he could be meeting for many different things.
It would have to be the Welling thing.
Yup! And as expected - even after Gough's diarrhea of the mouth last night - Jayne is sticking by her story. There's a poster at CD that's been a complete jerk to her; they've been going back and forth like politicians the night before election. Here's her last response to him:interesting. Sanchez does have a point, everything he's said so far about the JLA film has come to pass (not mo cap, Miller, Manhunter, start time, casting directors) except for the big one about Welling, but those still seem to be ongoing according to him.
What else besides that could WB really be pissed off at him about besides the Welling thing? Miller directing wasn't exactly a big secret although he was the first one to say it was definite, the rest of the stuff is all rather insignificant. It would have to be the Welling thing.
Indeed. The crow is going to be served eventually. It remains to be seen who will be eating it.Jayne said:So Kavalier...if WB comes out with their highly anticipated cast list and Welling is on it, are YOU going to admit you were wrong?? I already said I would absolutely apologize if my sources were wrong. Although even after seeing the Gough comments on JusticeLeagueOnFilm they are still standing by their info. So this is pretty much all going to come down to WB's press release.
