This was one of the scenarios I ruminated today, and yes, it sounds very plausible. But it doesn't explain Gough's ridiculously over-the-top replies - unless he's just pissed at the rumors making him out to be the bad guy in the contract negotiations. Who wouldn't be pissed? Even if it's true and Gough IS the hold-up, I don't think he'd see himself at "fault."

I dunno. Hopefully all of the nonsense will end soon.

Maybe he's just pissed because A) he knows everything but can't comment and is tired of being either asked or of what he has heard about being said online. B) he and miller have a plan for TW to exit smallville and step onto the big screen and he wants to keep it hush hush, but word is everywhere..kinda like the Lost guys getting pissed about their finale spoilers leaking.

(I know that one's a stretch but a guy's gotta hope).

You have to wonder though, I mean didn't TW look like he had bulked up a good bit this last episode. And he is definitely acting more like Superman as has been pointed out previously.

That scenario sounds very plausible. I would believe it in a heart. Question I am sure this has been asked before but has Tom voiced his interest lately or in the past about playing supes on the big screen. I truelt believe if he didn't play supes and the reason he didn't isn't a very good one like saving the earth or he's on the next shuttle to mars he might lose a lot of his fan base I know he would lose me. If wb tried to get him and he was like no. Though I'm sure there would be lots of people to see past it too

It's more plausible that he's got nothing to do with JLA at this point, and we can't just let go.

Some of the conspiracy theories I've read over this are beyond laughable. This whole Welling/JLA situation would make a great Oliver Stone film.

Agreed. Nothing wrong about staying positive and keeping your hopes up about things you like. I'm biased, and proud of it. Hear me roar.

There's only one thing that will stop me in my tracks from seeing the film, and I honestly don't think it'll happen, so I'll be going no matter what. The difference in casting TW vs anybody else will be in how excited I am to see the film, how many people I'll drag with me, when we'll go, and how many times I'll see it after the first time.

I dragged two friends with me to see The Fog on opening night. (They wanted to shoot me afterwards, but that's besides the point LOL.) The theater sold three tickets that night that they wouldn't have sold otherwise if it wasn't for the fact the movie playing that evening stared Tom Welling. And that as they say, is that.

I saw it opening weekend and the kids didn't like the movie much, but Miss Triplet jr. did like Tom a lot.

One thing that makes me doubt that Gough interview is Sanchez. He is at least someone who is mainly credible. Appears on tv and is a known quantity. While Emijay may absolutely be telling the truth. We just don't know more about her.

Maybe thats why Gough is pissed. WB wanted Welling but Gough convinced WB to not use him. The Welling for JLA movie got leaked by Sanchez, WB is revisiting the whole Welling for JLA and Gough is back to square one which explains his actions....
