Jason Lewis is a damn good looking guy, and this is coming from a straight man. BTW, I think that he would be a great Aquaman.

It's tough to read, but here's a little of what I *could* make out:

J-L-A

The Justice League of America

Warner Brothers Pictures presents a Wachowski Brothers film in a Joel Silver production in association with __ Carl ____ production

"Justice League of America" staring Tom Welling, Christian Bale, Charisma Carpenter, Jason Behr, Shane West, Jason Lewes, Wes Bentley with Bill Paxton and Vin Diesel as Despero. Directed by James Hohner (?) _____ Lisa _____ Produced by Al Giddings, Grant Hill, Sharon Mann
Heh. This is fun. ;)

Awesomw fan poster

I know this is random, but have anyone here seen the mock JLA movie poster by Alex Ross for Wizard Magazine. It has Tom's name in the credits. :)

no, do you have a link to that?

Ross did that poster back in 2002 for Wizard. Occasionally, Wizard likes to print fake movie posters in their pages. And it's no secret that Ross is a big supporter of Welling as Superman.

More of Ross' pro-Welling artwork:

These even made the SHH front page back in the day: http://www.superherohype.com/superman/index.php?id=1205

Four covers for TV Guide back in 2001.

Smallville_season_3_print.jpg

Special poster for the SV S3 DVD.

Here's what he told Wizard about the Welling/Reeve poster last year:

Alex Ross said:
CHRISTOPHER REEVE & TOM WELLING
“Smallville” Season 3 DVD, 2004

“This was done under complete agreement with the Chris Reeve Foundation. So people that directly represent him were judging this; as to whether or not Chris saw it, I can’t say. The creepy thing of it is that right at the time that they were ready to promote the hell out of this [for the Season 3 DVD], Chris died. So it wound up being this very haunting thing. It really wasn’t his time to go.

“I had to make the painting up from references of previous things I had of [Christopher Reeve]. I didn’t want to have a portrait of Chris as he looked when he was 25. Chris really needed to have something that acknowledged what he was today, but not necessarily the bald Luthor look he was currently sporting. By showing the painting with this tight close-up on both their faces, you could circumvent the breathing tube and draw any attention away from the current state of Chris’ living. It was all just there in his face.

“The concept of the piece is there’s all this red in it—the drapery behind him is the red Superman cape. And so reflected in Chris’ glasses is the ‘S’ shield backwards, the actual symbol of the cape.”

Excellent painting I had never seen that. I hope that once jla gets off the ground they will have Ross do some more artwork for the movie

I'd LOVE to see that. Can you imagine Ross being contracted to make the REAL movie poster? It'd be the greatest thing since the Brothers Hildebrandt Star Wars posters.

:D

<- getting carried away LOL

It would be right up there IMO of course I prefer super heroes to star wars so that's just me. But Ross just seems to have that talent. I mean a lot of artists have talent but his stuff makes just wanna stop and say good god. The two drawings of welling as supes. One is my lap top desktop and the other is the wallpaper on my blackberry

star wars had boss posters but, really bad trailers.

Why not ? Didn't he do paintings for the Spidey 2 credit sequence...?
Dunno 'bout Spider-Man, but I'd love to see Ross involved with JL artwork. One of the rumors that made the rounds during the early days of SR was that Ross was going to do an opening montage sequence of comic panels, similar to what we got in S:TM. The thought had me drooling in anticipation, but sadly, it never happened. I believe Ross had *some* involvement with SR, but for something like JL, I'd like to see his artwork plastered all over the place using the visages of the actors cast in the film. Hot damn, how cool would that be? :wow:

yeah, Ross did the illustrations for Spidey 2 credits. I was disappointed that he didn't return for the spidey 3 credits. Maybe he could do the opening credits with illustrations for the JL movie. But that would be ripping off Spider-Man 2 and Marvel may have a problem with it.

what if the credits were to intercut between each of the origins of the JL team, kind of like a the previously from Superman 2.

if they were to do that in illustrations, then that would be awesome!

^lol, yeah that's what I meant. Only if Alex Ross did it, then it would be awesome.

SWEET!

Tom Welling, Christian Bale (who we know isn't going to be in it), Charisma Carpenter, but I can't read some of those other names...

Is that bigger anywhere else?
I have it. I can see if I can scan it or something.

Awesomw fan poster
It's not a fanposter. Alex Ross did it.

Its turned into the Alex Ross appreciation thread. Hey WB you reading any of this make TW supes and then have Alex Ross do the artwork for the movie. I am having a geekgasm right now just thinking about it
