What i dont like is how they constantly skirt around mentioning The Doctor, i know they are trying to pull away from its parent show like a child growing up but it just annoys me how Jack and Martha were just refering to The Doctor as him or how when Owen asked Martha how she knew Jack she comes out with lines like "Lets just say we were under the same doctor". I mean do the Torchwood team know about The Doctor, they shouls do, especially Toshiko whos met him before and Ianto who worked for the previous Torchwood where it looked like all the staff knew about him. But the likes of Owen and Gwen should know about him too seen as Jack made the nes Torchwood in his honour. Its just something that annoys me.

I think it's an issue of RTD trying too hard to stop the kiddies from watching Torchwood. "The kids won't watch if we never bring up the Doctor." Nevermind that I've heard kids are watching anyway, and that mentioning the Doc's name isn't going to attract them any more than the prospect of Captain Jack and Martha appearing on it.

So, if Owen is now basically a walking corpse with no blood pressure or digestive action, I suppose his feet must be blue from all the old blood pooling at the bottom of his body when he stands up.

I do find the fact that he can't get it up anymore quite amusing.

And when exactly is Gwen going to tell Rhys about her fling with Owen from the first season? I notice that there's been no mention of it so far.

It is similar, but

1. that was a demon baby
2. it sounds like they kill the baby so it's kinda different.

so it is slightly different, but not much.

In all fairness, I've come to accept a lack of originality in my sci-fi TV shows. Once you've watched enough Outer Limits and Twilight Zone, nothing else seems original.

Those shows take on just about every scfi story there is so yeah it is hard to find original stuff to watch, which is why Torchwood fails alot.

Heroes is a bit better as it is more super powers but that will get old soon.

A crossover between Torchwood and Dr. Who would be lovely. I hate how they always dodge the Doctor's name, too. The Torchwood people should all know about the Doctor.
