Dark of the Moon Transformers: Dark of The Moon Teaser Trailer

That's got to be The Ark.

Love it.

I love that they're going right back to "We reverse engineered all our technology from them", and finding another point in history. This one works much better than Archibald Witwicky falling through the ice to find Megatron.

We're probably going to see more of Cybertron too, obviously.

And we must get Unicron.

I really doubt this is Shockwave, though.

If that's Alpha Trion...exciting.

And if that is Unicron...whos to say he doesn;t like, infect organic matter or something, and turn the moon into his war world type thingie.

Or...what if Unicron is the ark?

No Unicron, god please don't let Bay try to put Unicron in this movie. I've been a Transformers cartoon fan since 1984, and the last thing I want to see is he trying to sqeeze and I mean sqeeze Unicron into this movie. After the second movie Bay better not make this mistake. Let that ship just be the Ark, carrying Autobots, Decepticons, Alpha Trion, or whatever, but not Unicron. There are so many other Transformer storylines they can use instead of using Unicron, it will turn out like that dust cloud of Galactus in F4 movie. None of these movies haven't even spent much movie time on Cybertron, which they should, so Unicron is out of the question in my opinion.

Also if that's Alpha Trion, Im not sure but wasn't there a series I think it was called the Shattered Glass universe series or something like that he united some of the Autobots and Decepticons under his rule?

I don't understand the Unicron hate. In 1986, when I first saw the previews (yes, I remember the previews) for Transformers: The Movie, I was so excited to see an entire planet that transformed. That was such a mindblowing idea to me, why is he such a hated character?

Sorry but this has to be Unicron the more I look at it. Can't tell me there isnt a likeness there.

If that ends up being Unicron, than that means he isn't his planet-self. Which means Bay ****ed up yet again. So yes, please don't let that be Unicron. But that Transformer's eyes did light up blue, so I'm assume he's going to be an autobot.

And yet people praise the film when no one can understand what Batman is saying and shows very little detective skills.

I think he's talking specifically about the Batman movie everybody hates.

It would be cool if Unicron was the moon, but I've no idea how they would work it on screen. Earth needs the moon for a variety of reasons, if he transformed or moved there would be devastation here.

I have thought about this too. Although I don't think Unicron will be in "Dark Of The Moon", this is what I came up with, if he were in it.

Unicron transforms (from being the moon), and tidal waves, earthquakes, volcanic erruptions ensue on Earth. Autobots make it inside Unicron, and put him in stasis lock (from within him), which reverts him to his planetary mode. Then the Autobots move Unicron back to his original spot in space, either by activating his own thrusters, or with the help of Omega Supreme, or someone like that. Too bad that probably never gets realised on the big screen :-)

What do you people think?

I see what you're talking about, I thought it was Unicron at first also. But he does resemble Alpha Trion with a paint job. And the biggest thing that prevents this from being Unicron is that he is smaller than a planet when he should be a planet.

It's funny how a lot of people are saying this movie is gonna suck big time and the only thing we've seen its 3min teaser..

Don't judge the book by the cover

I think if Bay used Unicorn, they teaser would have played out much, much different.

Ok so Earth(our gov) has known about robot alien lifeforms for the past 40+ years, and had no mention or questions for the gov. or autobots in the first 2 films about who the robots were that were found on the moon over 40 years ago. Am I the only one that finds this odd. The rover landed on mars in 2003 according to the first film, well if we knew there were alien lifeforms on the moon why look for them on mars? Someone clear this up for me please.

2 answers for this.

1. Sector Seven and the "Goverment(and Nasa)" are not one in the same, and thus execute a true cover up as explained in the first film.

2. Michael Bay is an idiot and can't write coherent stories.

on the internet, it's all "tomato" "tomahto"

I just saw the teaser...and I'm a little underwhelmed. I'll be curious what a full trailer will look like.

It looks a hell of a lot like Unicron to me too.

In bayformers, likness is a moot point

Very true.

As far as I can remember, I don't think they were on the Mars to look for life, and if they were, no harm in looking to see what they could find on other planets. Maybe other life forms could be on it.

The timeline thing in the teaser threw me a little as well.

For the love of God! Again with the Unicron BS! He is simply too big to be done right. For reference, check out the pic below...
UnicronChart.jpg

Now, seeing as Prime is 32ft tall in this continuity, that would make that red line 12,800ft tall. That's not even 2.5 miles. For those suggesting that Unicron is the Moon, the moon is about 2160 miles wide or roughly 356,400 time larger than Prime. Anyone wanna try putting those two object on screen effectively? You know, like having a conversation like they did in the cartoon.

It was a hated character back then too if you recall. The '86 movie alienated many fans thanks to killing off a large number of characters that people had developed a connection to, and replacing them with a totally new cast. Just when the feeling of being mystified by this unexpected occurrence was settling in, the movie then rubbed salt in the wound by killing off Optimus Prime as well. Unicron was just collateral damage I think. Another piece of crap, that nobody cared about, taking the limelight away from the things people wanted to see.

Roll on through the years and the old hatreds seem to be forgotten, and the newer generations of fans have started liking the character, and the movie that introduced it.

And here's the problem with it: Scale.

A film maker or cartoonist crafts a story involving characters interacting with each other, sometimes talking, sometimes slugging it out, on fairly equal terms. Now introduce a metal planet-gobbling planet... Now the story has to replace character interaction with a metal lump interacting with a speck, or alternatively actual characters interacting with a distant special effect (depending on perspective).

For those people who enjoy watching a movie about a speck beating the living crap out of a huge lump, please go and watch Armageddon or Independence Day. Translate the idea into Bayformers to get a clue that neutralising a planet-eating planet is going to consist of Shia Le Noooo obliterating it by concealing a half spent duracel battery-powered rabbit in it's left kidney, and then...

SHUT. UP!!!
Please stop. whipping. the. dead. horse.

It's not him on the moon unless they shrunk him big time. But to say the character is too big to be done right is just a major lack of imagination on your part.

The thing is there's no mention that Unicron will be in the movie and I don't think they're heading for that direction right now.
