Sorry for disturbing you hype but this "Transformers is the greatest score ever" and "Jablonsky is the most talented composer who ever scored a movie" gibberish is such a bulls.hit.
The matter of fact is that the Transformers score sounds just like all the other MV (Media Ventures) scores. There's nothing special, nothing groundbreaking in this score. Just listen to all those other MV scores ("The Rock", "Armageddon", "The Island", "Crimson Tide" and so on). You will find out that all of those scores including Transformers have the same type of melody, quite the same arrangement, and almost the same instrumentation. Don't misunderstand me. I like the Transformers score as I like the other MV scores but it never has the ingeniousness of a Morricone, Goldsmith, Williams or Horner score. And everyone who argues the converse has either never heard a REALLY good score or is blinded by the hype.
I can't find the Score on ITunes! Can someone help me?
It was a matter of time... now, we have the typical "I know everything about this and you don't know a thing" man.
Leave us with our opinion about this score and write post in the threads of your beloved Horners, Williams and Goldsmiths.
Probably... maybe, surely, i've heard as many OST and score as you, but the difference between me (us) and you, it is that we don't examinate the music, we just enjoyed it.
By the way, Goldsmith is one of the most overrated composers in history, Horner usually copies his own compositions from one score to other (if you don't believe me, listen to Titanic's sinking theme and the main theme from "Enemy at the Gates") so don't bother us with silly statements about what you know and we don't.
By the way (2), for those who are really interested...i have the score!!!I'm lucky of living in Spain where usually the release date for a CD is always one day before than the rest of Europe!! Whoooaaa!!

I searched for "Jablonsky" under Artist and "Transformers" under Album and it came right up for me.
I can't find it. Maybe because i'm in Germany. Are there differences between the countries on ITunes?
I just found the "normal" Soundtrack.
I honestly don't know. Is your release date the same or is there a difference in release dates between countries maybe?

My Itunes is still showing it as being "pre-order." GRR. Was so hoping to download for the drive in this a.m. How annoying!!!![]()

Mine did the same thing too until I did the search using BOTH they keys Jablonsky (in the artist slot) and Transformers (in the album slot). THEN, it came up as "purchase CD" and also listed each individual track too. It was very wierd.
P.S. ... OMG. I am listening to this right now and.....just....OMG!
Obviously you haven't read my entire post.
I definitely love the score (as soon as I'll possess it), no question.
BUT: Some are trying to put the score into something it isn't. It's a solid, well-fitting one but it surely isn't that kind of masterpiece some are trying to suggest.
And what you said about the amount of scores you heard: It might be true so I think you should be quite familiar with that scoring stuff and admit that this absolutely isn't the greatest score ever.
Again: I'm really gonna enjoy that score, it will be a lot of fun listening to it but that's no reason to call it "The best score ever". That's all I wanted so say.
By the way: I've never said something like "I know everything and you don't". I'm quite sure some dudes posting here know much more about OSTs. So those very people should agree with me.
Oh and before I forget it: Sorry for my strange english...I'm not a native speaker.![]()

I don't know how to respond to this type of ignorance. Sorry, but its true.

My apologies then.
I readed your entire post but probably, your "not so good" english and my "bad" english make the rest. I'm not a native too. As i said, my apologies.
Of course it's not the greatest score. But you may know that, about Films Scores, many people (too many imo) likes to discredit any score signed my Media Ventures - Remote Control.
It seems to many people thinks that what they do is bad for the films score "industry" and that nowadays there are no good composer like 10 years ago.
Well, i must say that probably Media Ventures sounds all nearly the same but i love their work. Of course, i miss Poledouris or even Goldsmith, but this new generations (the Jablonskys, Badelts, Bates, etc.) are not that bad.
I think the main problem are not the MV composers themselves but the kind of films they compose their music for. I mean films like Transformers aren't really ambitious.
