There is talk of doing an animated series in continuity with the movies

and that's different than the first movie...how?
Please tell me you're joking. Seriously. I can't believe you put "and the plot makes no fricking sense" in bold implying that that even remotely applies to the first TRON. Here's how it's different as a start- I'll just quote myself.

(TRON) Did have substance. It created a new, believable world that challenged or reinvented one's notions about cyberspace and technology and it was cultural and relevant. All of which are things that good science-fiction does.

And things that Legacy did not do.

what's hilarious is that grid is like, 20 years old lol, Flynn was way ahead of his time.

just watched tron. was a really fun movie. i do think they didn't use tron culture to its full potential. there were some things i liked about the original which i felt were missed here. and i didn't think i would say this considering what tron was.

Does anyone have the music for the VFX Footage, at the end of that when Flynn gets up and the young flynn kills the gamer.

Where's that music in the game?

Also does Wendy Carlos' theme get remixed in this version I'm gonna see it in IMAX just want to know if they kept that original music.

Not gonna lie, only parts I liked about the movie were the visuals, Wilde's character, and Tron protecting the Flynn's (both times)

I didn't really get what the complaints are all about, because I didn't bother to backread. I'm just getting a vibe that in some way the story sucks, which for me, doesn't. As long as the story flows smoothly and the film doesn't have anything annoying in it is it fine by me.

The story doesn't suck; it's just a case of pretentious critics and various "geniuses" on the Internet overanalyzing and reducing something until it barely even exists (even though most of these same people loved a bunch of other movies that had ALL of Tron's perceived flaws).

Sadly, very few people go to a movie to enjoy it anymore, and you're only supposed to like a film if it's above 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

With such omniscience, one wonders why you spend time on a message board.

Ticket prices are 10 bucks and 3d ticket prices are more than that. If I go see a movie, it better be good. I could go see Scary Movie 14 for fun...doesn't make it a good movie. I am not saying this movie sucked either, but it could have been better.

Just stating things as I see them. Various posters come in here and state that the movie flat out sucks as if it is pure fact. You might as well jump down their throats as well.

And you're stating it doesn't suck as if it's a pure fact. What's your point?

Coming in here to say "this movie sucks" is no different than saying "this movie was great". It goes without saying these are all opinions. Difference here is the naysayers haven't gone out of their way to make up excuses for why the opposing side likes the film. I've already seen about a dozen posts questioning the tastes of those that dared to not praise the movie.

If we're calling things as they are seen, then surely you can see there are a lot of bitter and ******** fans present.

seeing it a 2nd time today
and hopefully picking up a identity disc :D

a bit disappointed they made one for sam, flynn, and rinzler but not clu :(

Saw it last night. I didn't care for it. I went in on just experiencing cool visuals and nothing much else. I just didn't get into it. I got even bored by the visuals. I should have helled off on the trailers and commercials possibly. Because the wow factor disapeared very fast.

The actors were all fine, it's just I didn't enjoy it even in the simplist way.
