I wouldnt be surprised if they did.

I also think the fact that they're scoring the movie shows just how hip the people involved with the production are.

yeah, it shows that they're in touch with the current trends...but then again, i suppose you would have to be if you want to do a movie about video games.

btw, i think it's funny that a video game themed movie is on the fast track in the right direction while movies based on actual video games still suck.

My theory is that the same clique of directors and producers are involved with all of the video game adapations. And this same group of people are a bunch of hacks. Until we get 'real' talent into the adaptations, it's not going to change.

The only movie that destroys my theory is Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and that was a slight failure. I say slight because it's a movie to admire but the execution was very off.

should be something innovative, and its good that they are aren't just going for the same old composers.

something new and innovative is exactly what a movie like Tron needs.

Although I still think the W,Carlos original score was a classic, great moog synthesizers mixed with some orchestral sounds, it was a great combination.

lets see what daft punk come up with!

i can't wait to see what they're gonna do with the music for the action scenes. i always thought that techno and action scenes go well together...which is why i still pop in Mortal Kombat from time to time.

Yeah could work out great. I would have said Steve Joblonsky would have been a good choice. I enjoyed his work for The Island and Transformers.
