In regards to Sheen's character, I figure he'll be that side "pain-in-the-arse" that will provide information, but wont reveal it unless the heroes give him something or whatnot. Clu 2 will most likely kill him eventually. Thats just a guess mind.

I just watched the original Tron. Kind of cheesy and the special effects are very outdated but overall I really enjoyed it and I think it's a good movie. I would say the 80s special effects even have a charm of their own.

I'm wondering what role Tron the character will play in Tron Legacy. Its kind of funny that the he is the title character but he really isn't the central character. In the first it was Flynn and in the new one it'll be Flynn's son.

Just their trademark sound is all.

It caught me a bit by surprise when the title card was going to show up near the end.

Even though I knew they were scoring for TL, it wasn't until near the end where I was reminded, "Holy ****, Daft Punk really is composing the score for Legacy!" thanks to that sound effect they employ in many of their songs.

IMO, he is some kind of Master of Ceremony for the Tron games ( lightcycle races etc ).

Stories I've read have him down as some sort of nightclub owner. Probably a "fixer" type. If you want it, he can get it, legally or illegally...

Taking that into account, given that the trailer shows Clu 2.0 and his buddies arriving at the room where the older Flynn was sitting in the fx concept trailer, I wonder if Clu 2.0 has some sort of axe to grind with his old programmer, and is searching for him?

Maybe old Flynn is some sort of peaceful dictator now and Clu 2.0 is part of the "rebelion" ? Another hypothesis of mine, old Flynn is kept locked by Clu 2.0 for whatever reason.

Option #2 is my guess. Flynn is the figurehead "Great Leader", but CLU is the real power.

That's a good theory too.

I keep forgetting that Flynn is still as 'user' from the outside world and should anyone be able to incarcerate him, he'd be an invaluable asset to his captors, given his power.
