I totally leaned over to my friend and whispered "he's talking about his penis"

So do you think Disney will put out sequels to its other old projects?

Who's up for CONDORMAN: LEGACY?

:hehe:

yes yes yes

Yeah but Jeff Bridges has two movies in the top 5, so I ain't complaining man.

There was a funny moment in the theater when after Quorra comes into the real world, and Sam leans over and says to her "I want to show you something" and I immediately turn to my friend and say "My penis". Had him laughing for 5 minutes. Yes, I have the maturity of a 10-year-old.

Though in defense, if any of that happened to us, would we mean anything BUT that?

Let's be honest. You have this hot chick who more or less has had no sexual history or experience, so she has no idea what it's supposed to be like. So you could be the worst lover in the world and she won't suspect a thing.

Definately. :D

But the Prognoviach better be in it and they better all be driving black Porsche's 911's like in the original :argh: (best damn scene in the movie for me).

the de-aging of brad pitt in benjamin button was so so much better than jeff bridges in tron legacy.

i couldn't get over it while watching...

well the spfx budget for Benjamin Button all went into the de aging...Tron at to spread it around

Just saw Tron Legacy. My expectations had dropped since its been getting a lot of mixed reviews but I found myself enjoying it a lot. First I have to give props to Bridges for coming back and revisiting an old character and film. He's a great AND successful actor and some people in his position wouldn't have had any interst but the guy is a good sport and a class act.

As for Legacy...I liked it. The story could have been better but it delivered an exciting and entertaining experience.

It was good to see Boxleitner as Tron even if it was for short periods. Wasn't expecting to see him as much as I did.

The de-aging effects on Kevin Flynn and Clu bugged me at times. For some shots it looked good, especially when they didn't move their faces. Then in other shots it looked kinda bad and took me out of the movie. I could have forgiven it in the digital world on Clu and even Flynn but the flashback scenes in the real world stuck out even more.

Thats a minor thing though. Overall I had a good time. The endind was somewhat predictable but stil well handled.

the problem was not the money.

in Benjamin a young Brad was doing motion capture for a fat old Benjamin.

in Tron Jeff(old) has a lot of fat on hes cheeks. and the computer doesnt know what motion to use to move the CGI skeleton. there is a lot of streching and secondary movement.

Tron is proof that what James Cameron said doesnt work in production. in theory its cool to think about an old actor playing hes younger version. in a hardcore production it doesnt work.

the face from an old actor is to different to move the young CGI version. the nose changes, the cheeks have streched skin and fat.

what i am trying to say is. a young actor can move the old CGI face. an old actor CAN NOT move the young CGI face.

That movie was awesome. It didn't even need to be in 3D.

but they also de-aged brad from a 40-something to a 20-something pretty realistically...

Yeah but as Dark_b said:-

In short, Brad's face is a bit more chiseled than Jeff's, so it was easier.

i think if you don't put the de-aging under a microscope it works fine. Stop over analyzing this people. you're ruening the fun for the rest of us.

Eh, Jeff's effects were..okay. I just wished they didn't show his face in the opening. Talk about off putting. Just keep it in the shadows.

Anyway, it seems like Tron is tracking to be number one again this weekend. While the numbers are strong, it's kinda steady.

Maybe I'm just not up on Tron lore, but why is
Tron renamed "Rinzler" when Clu re-appropriates him? Does the name have some sort of significance besides being a misidentifier?

I don't think so...

By the way, I'm re-editing the original Tron to sound and look more like the new one - the trailer is done in the style of the Tron: Legacy Teaser (the music took 30 cuts from the soundtrack to reproduce!!!! )

That's pretty dope A-man, nice edit.

What did you use to alter the titles at the end? I'm assuming this was with fcp, right?

Actually no, I used Photoshop to remove the text from the background and then I created new text in Photoshop and imported the PNGs. Not as fancy as it may seem. :p

Damn. Nice one. I loved this movie, but more importantly, it helped me discover the awesome goofy wonders of the original Tron.

I really hope Disney continues this franchise. Next Tron needs to be centered around Alan, :cmad:.

Believe it or not, but the audio I had to take 30 individual clips from the soundtrack to reconstruct the trailer music.
