The Dark Knight Two Face Revealed

I actually knew about the name change but had forgotten about it until you mentiond it. Honest!

Does anyone know for sure that is even is gasoline?

I've had a rough night, and I hate the ******* Eagles, man.

Actually, this seems like the total opposite of the permawhite thing.

We've seen pictures of the Joker that suggest he's wearing makeup and most people say that his skin isn't white. Those hopeful (delusional?) few like myself do want there to be more to it than that, though.

But, we've see footage of Harvey screaming with half of his face on the ground while some kind of liquid is poured. That suggestion of an alternative origin is as strong as the visual evidence against permawhiteness, and it's also a similar departure from the comics.

Bottom Line: It's a movie that comes out in a month. There isn't any "truth" to stare anybody in the face until until July 18th. Good natured disagreement about what's going to happen at that point is fun, stifling everybody's speculation is not.

I would say that the bottom line is that we have had at least two people from the film, and the two people who would be involved in the scene, Eric Roberts, and Arron Ekheart, come right out and confirm that ACID is thrown on his face, scaring him.

That's what I was going to say. I don't know why Ekheart and Roberts would say it's acid that scars Dent if it was really a gas fire (or whatever flammable liquid is shown in the trailer).

Let's take bets. Acid vs. Fire. What should the winnings be?

I like the theory that the face on the ground while liquid is being poured clip is just an attempt by the mob to get him to throw a case or reveal Batman's identity, and then later at the trial when he refuses to lose, he gets the acid facial.

If it isn't the gasoline (or whatever that stuff is), it'll be quite a tease to the fans...making us think that's how it happens. It's a good thing Nolan isn't the kind of guy to fool us. ;)

I wouldn't mind if it is gasoline...as long as Maroni is behind it. Speaking of which, wasn't Harvey scarred a different way in B:AS?

Aye...he was in a chemical factory I believe. I think Maroni was still involved...but it was more like a chemical explosion (that could've been Acid...easy Pro-Acid Hyenas!) that lead to the scarring...

These guys have got to stay away from chemical factories. It's nothing but bad news.

It wasn't Maroni in the animated series, it was that fat bastard who's name I can't quite remember.

Edit: It was Rupert Thorne.

all things right now are pointing to fire. acid melt not burns. its impossible to get that charred from acid. i think they've been telling everyone its acid but its actually something else. o, he get acid thrown in his face and then he's in an explosion

The B:TAS origin was horrible though - and should not be at all used to justify anything.

I kinda liked the 2 episode Two-Face story overall from B:AS. I wouldn't say it perfectly captured everything about the character, but the tragedy and respect for the character was still there. Certainly better treated than he was in Batman Forever.

I hope we see a proper Two-Face in The Dark Knight.
