It seems pretty obvious they're "evolving" all the characters.

Scott will probably get his visor toward the end of the film.

I'm thinking that probably will be the case.

From the trailer and Singers recent words it seems this is more of an origin of these characters than was thought before.

We'll be seeing his powers manifest and their first ever battle and other early things like perhaps Nightcrawler being brought to the school so it's likely if they have colourful costumes they'll be their own rather than these which seem like CIA issued and Scott would get his visor when it's actually needed, i.e once he becomes a hero who'll need to fire optic blasts. So that would likely happen at the end and lead in to the next movie.

I think the biggest problem with singer and this movie will be that singer doesn't wanna move too far out of the OT range but he also doesn't want to have no freedom to change things up abit so we are getting this half and half where he doesn't want you to think its a full on reboot even with the changes he makes
