Uncanny Avengers

I've really loved this series so far. I'm excited for AXIS, it's going to be crazy

i feel like im one of the few who is absolutely loving how logan has been handling his current state over the past few months leading to the death of. i think its amazing seeing a clearly damaged emotionally logan who is finally, scared of something. he may not say that directly but in every word he speaks to those he loves and cares for, you can tell by the wisdom hes laying out. love it

i hate it, seeing as this isn't the first time he's lost his healing factor, and he wasn't such a p***y about it last time

I was just disappointed to see Logan's still around as of this week's Uncanny Avengers issue. There's a Death of Wolverine event going on, damn it. Get to dying already! :cmad:

Latest issue of Deadpool was great when he went he to the Jean Grey cool.

(paraphrasing)

Wilson: ''Sorry about Logan.''
Storm: ''Huh?''
Wilson: ''Nevermind, spoiler.''

I'm no geneticist but I'm pretty sure putting someones brain in your head doesn't give you their physical abilities.

In a world where one gene can give you abilities varying from big feet and hands to complete control over reality itself I think a little brain swapping isn't a big issue.

Especially considering that Xavier's "physical abilities" were in his brain, it's not that hard to imagine.

its a comic book, the marvel u doesnt exactly care about our physics/genetics, and thats why we read it

Yeah it is all a bit silly seeing as the X-gene is what gives powers, not the brain
but honestly, I kinda love the old school comic book-i-ness of it... everything's so serious these days, why not go for the ridiculous occasionally

Couple questions...what happened to Havok's face?

Also, since when can telepathic powers effect Eric when he has his helmet on?

In the comics, Magneto's Helmet never had that property, at least back in the day.
It wasn't until the movies that idea was introduced, and Remender being the old school x-fan he is, probably was going off the older version

Havok's face, idk, cuz I haven't picked up the last few issues

Havok was disfigured during the final battle with Kang. Sunfire was killed and as his body exploded all the heat from the detonation caused the damage to the side of Havok's face and body.

Sun fire was not killed, he is alive but his body has... Changed

I don't think I made it that far yet. I've been thinking about dropping it honestly.

That comes as no surprise. I haven't really been into the book so a lot of it isn't sticking with me. That's why I want to drop it. Reading each issue feels like a chore.

I just dropped it. Although, technically, it looks like it's on hiatus until Axis ends, so I guess I've decided to drop it when it comes back.

Ahead of Marvel’s January 2015 solicitations, they’ve started to release some announcements, as usual. The first? Uncanny Avengers #1, spinning out of AXIS, revealed at ComicBook.com. The new Unity Squad of the Avengers looks considerably different, but Rick Remender and Daniel Acuña are coming back to the series.

So who is in the line-up? Well it’s eclectic to say the least. Scarlet Witch and Rogue return, with everyone else on the squad brand new. Captain America, Sam Wilson, is on the squad, alongside Scarlet Witch’s brother Quicksilver, her ex-lover The Vision, what appears to be a still-inverted Sabretooth in the “Wolverine” position, and Brother Voodoo, the one-time Sorcerer Supreme who Remender wrote in Doctor Voodoo.

Of course, there’s also the “No More Mutants” teaser, which was teased to retailers at New York Comic Con. The teaser does not mean mutants are all going away, or that they’re no longer supporting X-Men characters as some people would jump to the conclusion of, however, but it will likely have something to do with the storyline in the newly relaunched Uncanny Avengers. Best guess? The public doesn’t want mutants in the Avengers anymore - something that will only be exacerbated by the fact that all four mutant members of this squad are former villains. In fact, even The Vision was created to be a villain, and Brother Voodoo has been on the wrong side of the law himself (albeit under possession), and Sam Wilson, while never a straight-up supervillain, worked for the mob before his superhero career pulled him out.

Expect more of Marvel’s solicitations to slowly reveal themselves before the full release early next week.
