I suck at the multiplayer, lol. Still can't even figure out how to get more loadout points to do a good custom loadout. I've seen a lot of people have like 25 or 26, and I'm stuck at 20.

In other news, I'm doing my 2nd single-player playthrough and becoming obsessed with photo mode this go-round. This game is just too damned pretty.

Photo mode :hrt: Yeah this game is absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah, I'm trying to give the game a break so I can go back and experience with fresh eyes, but I'm so tempted to just do a Photo Mode run.

Well that small bit I posted was just a truncated version of a much longer debate. But the argument was that the conflict between Nate/Chloe in UC2 was much more interesting than that of Nate/Elena, and that Elena didn't really belong in that game.

I just find this completely ridiculous because while Nate is charming and funny on his own, it's his relationship with Elena that provides the most emotionally captivating moments of the game, and franchise overall. Not to mention she opens up a way to give Nate some great character progression. I always felt like Chloe was too similar and too selfish that a romance between those two would never be interesting and wouldn't work out in the long haul.

Chloe reminds me of and is basically Elektra from the DD Netflix show.

Yeah, I had the same exact comparison. Ironically, Kinda Funny was doing their cast wishlist for an Uncharted movie and someone mentioned Elodie Yung as Chloe, and I'm not opposed to that.

But for some reason, I loved Elektra, but not Chloe. Maybe it's becaues I love Elena, but not Karen on Daredevil.

Speaking of photo mode, is there a way to share the pics you take at full resolution? I notice when I share them (to Twitter), they are a much smaller file size than they are on the PS4. It's probably a Twitter limitation, I'm guessing, and I don't want to share them to Facebook because that's much more public than my Twitter and I'm taking a lot of photos I don't want to spam my Facebook with, lol. I wanted to share them straight to one of my photo accounts (like Flickr), but that doesn't seem to be an option.

EDIT: Just realized I can copy to them to a USB drive at full-res, then do what I want with them from there. All this because I want one of them as my new wallpaper, lol.

I would also suggest changing the file type that it saves to as PNG. It will bump up the file size, but its better quality than a JPEG.

I'm saying this more as a joke but...

I would have died laughing if Drake and Elena's daughter was named Lara. I just think that would have been the ultimate troll by Naughty Dog. Granted, it would be juvenile and not necessarily their style with these games.

Thanks, I had already done that, but while they saved as PNGs, they still uploaded as JPGs at a smaller file size. But oh well, the USB solution works fine, just a little extra effort.

I liked the names of both [blackout]their daughter and dog. Cassie being named after Nate & Sam's mom, Vicky being named after Victor, since he said he'd get Nate a dog if they survived this adventure and Nate asked if he could name it Victor...then I guess the dog turned out to be a female, lol.[/blackout] Just nice touches, I thought.

Damn, that's like $160 million+ in its first week. :wow:

I heard this idea during the Kinda Funny spoilercast but
Originally, one of them thought that it would be a cool Easter Egg if the the mansion that Nate and Sam broke into ended up being Croft Manor. It wouldn't have made any sense, especially since I doubt they were in London, but it would have been mind blowing if it worked out that way.

Yeah, the USB method has been the one I've been using. I've also transferred the folder of all my PS4 screenshots to my phone so I can also share them on Instagram.

And I didn't catch that the first time around.
I vaguely remember the bit about the dog, but I didn't catch what her name was. That really is a great touch.

Hahaha I honestly thought I was the only one who may have thought that! Yeah, that would have been pretty cool. I don't know, kind of like paying their respects or something. I know Naughty Dog citied that game, and Indiana Jones, as initial inspiration/wanting to take it a step further.

Speaking of Indy, I could've swore I spotted a Fedora at some point early in the game. Add that in with the rope that looked like a whip, and you can tell they were definitely trying to add some nods to that franchise.

There's a few dialogue references. You can hear Sam say "bad dates" at one point and I think "it belongs in a museum" too.

Just finished!! Finally. Holy cow what an awesome experience. :D 10/10 for me. And that ending was much more satisfying than I thought it'd be.

this is without a doubt one of the best games i've played. the campaign, definitely deserves all the critical acclaim that it gets.

the mp, while it is fun and all...i feel like, i dunno. there could have been more to it. the beta made it look so easy to upgrade stuff but for the actual game you have to play it sooo much to get what you want

then again, the most fun i ever had with uncharted mp was in coop, which isn't out yet. so once that is released i may change my opinion. this is right at release.

I picked up the game this weekend and I love it. I’m up to Chapter 12, just past the part with the tower and the car chase...which nearly killed me. :funny:

I saw that the dog's name was Vicky and recall that exchange between Nate and Sully but I did not connect the two! Brilliant! :funny:

Anyway, I just finished. Damn, easily the best entry yet.

Anyone who says video games are not art need only look at this game. For such an over-the-top action adventure, its shocking how well developed their characters are. I felt a genuine emotional bond to the characters during the epilogue and a genuine sense of nostalgia as Cassie looked through the journals, the magazine articles on the wall of the office, etc).

I mean the entire story and characterization are top notch. Its interesting that a game so lacking in realism (in terms of over the top action) has some of the most in-depth realistic characters I have ever seen in video games. Hell, Elena and Nate's relationship is more mature and realistic than anything I've seen in any form of media. When Elena arrives at Libertalia, she doesn't just forgive Nate...its clear that their marriage has issues that will go on past the game. There is no scene where she is just swept into his arms and forgives him. Instead, the two gradually come to terms with everything and decide to move past Nate's lie, as partners who love one another, knowing that when they get home they will still have to work through some things. Its shockingly realistic and it makes it all the sweeter when the player sees that they made it in the Epilogue.

I also like thatthere are no supernatural elements. I've always felt the supernatural stuff was a bit tacked on. It worked in the context of the games but was also one of the weaker elements, IMO. I like that this is just pure action-adventure with no sci-fi/fantasy twists. It makes the human nature of the story and how greed destroys a person, families, etc all the more poignant without monsters running at you.

What a game. I am sure I can say more but I would just be gushing. This is honestly the best game I've ever played. It is fun, immersive, beautiful, and emotionally engaging. Every time you think it peaks, it finds a way to go one step further. And the sword duel as the final boss fight....just damn.

All of this makes me sad that Naughty Dog is indicating that it is their last outing. Although the ending is perfect...absolutely perfect.

However, Naughty Dog certainly did leave the door open for more adventures, be it prequel [blackout](Nate's mother...Uncharted: Morgan's Fortune)[/blackout], sequel [blackout](older Nate and/or Cassie going on an adventure)[/blackout] or an in-between spinoff [blackout](Sam and Sully or the exploits of Nadine perhaps)[/blackout]. I suppose I am personally hoping for a sequel. Not immediately. But on the PS5, a few years down the road, I would really like to revisit these characters and have a [blackout]father/daughter[/blackout] adventure.

That said, I do not need one, because as I said, the ending is perfection. I am glad to see this series reach that point and end on the best game in the franchise, rather than see it go the Halo route and die a slow death of mediocrity.

Playing UC3 now and my god this thing has so many damn puzzles. Its reminding me of one of the reasons why I initially didnt enjoy it as much as 2 (which was fairly light on that). I prefer my UC to be an action game and not a puzzler. Hopefully UC4 is more like 2 especially considering it was made by the same guys

I can't really remember what the puzzle situation was in 2, but 4 has several, but they're all very simple and basic.
