Sequels villains Spidey 4..has anyone read this?!

Just troublesome because a lot of people are still banking on Lizard/Kraven... but the studio may feel thats too much a let down in terms of action... I just think they are defintely gonna go all out if they can get this cast back for another one... and that would pretty much mean Carnage... or at least Electro paired up with someone else ON TOP of Lizard. I can defintely see that disaster a mile away.

I find it hard to see where the spectacular action would come from Carnage and Venom that hasn't really been done already.

Electro might offer new possibilities, but fundamentally he is just a supercharged Goblin!

Carnage's hand weapons and sharp projectiles would be different.

Though I hope he is not in SM4.

^ We've seen someone's hands change shape already. Remember a guy called Sandman?

We saw him do it like twice and they were blunt weapons. Carnage uses sharp ones.

Carnage is a 2-dimensional villain. All he does is make lame jokes while killing people. I prefer characters with a bit more depth.

I am not campaigning for Carnage. I am not a fan of the character. I was just pointing out new things he could provide visually.

As far as visual effects go, I believe there are better choices than Carnage.

I still say Mysterio has the most visual potential, but that is just me.

Mysterio probably does have the most visual potential... but it's hard for me to think of a way they could portray him in a movie without coming off cheesey or campy.

There are many ways...I think the animated series did a rather good job of it actually.

Plus, the character requires some cheese. You can't have an uncheesy Mysterio. That just don't work.

TAS was aimed at kids, who can suspend their disbelief a lot easier than adults. For the general public and those who aren't familiar with the character, I don't see how they could portray him without them thinking, "A bad guy with a fishbowl for a head... this is lame..."

The fishbowl is cheesy, but neccessary. Mysterio needs to be somewhat over-the-top and funny like that. That is the character. This, for him, is not a bad thing.

Plus, when they see amazing visuals from the guy with the fishbowl, they will like it.

IMO, they should use Lizard in 4. But not Carnage he should be in 6 as a final good-bye, we gave you an awesome villian until the re-boot franchise!

if the fourth movie were the last...then it could have Lizard and Carnage.
it seems the more obvious choice, imo.

I don't understand why people find Carnage so fascinating. He just runs around killing people. He's less of a one-trick-pony than Venom is. There's no depth to his character whatsoever.

I don't think Carnage is a great character either, but your argument is kind of moot; unless you legitimately believe that characters like Sandman, Electro, and Mysterio did have depth and more than one dimension in the comics.

In the comics, Sandman had no depth. Just a thug that could turn into sand. In the movie, they gave him a family and connected his story to Peter Parker. There's no way they could do the same type of thing with Carnage successfully.

Now, keep in mind, I think Carnage should be kept out of the series for other reasons, but they could certainly give the character depth. They don't have to tie his story directly in with Peter's (and I mean that for any villain). I don't think every villain should be someone who Peter knows personally, or who has affected Peter's life significantly. They can give villains weight through other means.

Why is everybody hating on Carnage? I want to see him in SM4 but like I don't want him to just "die" like Venom did in his first film. I want Carnage to be like the main villian in SM6 lke in the Comics where Venom and Spidey have to work together to beat Carnage. I would like to see an appearance by Carnage and maybe even a little bit of killing by Carnage in SM4 but not have him die in that movie and save him for the end. I would likeizard and Kraven in SM4 and then Mysterio and Scorpian in SM5. And if SM6is the ending have Rhino as a mini villian and maybe a guy like Shocker and then have Carnage run on a rampage and kill ppl and destroy the city and Venom comes back but has to work with Spidey to beat Carnage and have Carnage and Venom die in the movie. But if SM6 isn't the last movie then have the return of Doc ock and maybe Rhino or Shocker in SM6 and then in SM7 have Carnage and a returning Venom.

yeah...they connected Sandman with Peter and look the cr@p they made...
Uncle Ben's killer is Flint Marko. dear God...I never liked this idea and I still don't lilke. I don't get how Stan Lee let them do this. change the story so drastically like this. they don't have to make a connection with Peter. the villains are there to be defeated. to give strong action for the movie. Carnage is one of the strongest Spidey villains...if not the stronger. so he is the perfect final villain, imo.
keep in mind: Ras Al Guhl didn't has a connection with Bruce...Joker probably won't...Magneto didn't has a connection with Wolverine...and so on...and...still...this haven't ruined the movies. a villain is in a movie to be a villain. not a guy who turn good in the final. and a true villain. and this is what SM4 needs.
if Sam and the others want to give us a villain with connection...well...they already have Lizard for it.

I like what they did with Sandman's character in SM3 (minus the Uncle Ben thing). I never really liked him in the comics because it was always the same story with him over and over again.

If you pull Carnage straight from the comics, he cannot carry a two hour movie on his own. There would need to be at least one other villain. Not the Lizard, because then you have two mindless beasts running around killing people. And not Venom, because there's no way they can bring him back after SM3 without having it suck.

Carnage isn't a good Villian. All He does is kill people and quite frankly I think Venom is MUCH better than Carnage. Not to mention that Carnage is a violent character. And besides, if Venom teamed togeather with Spidey in a Spidey film, then we would have to see the "Anti-Hero" attitude from Venom and alot of us Venom Fans (including myself) don't like the "Anti-Hero" attitude from Venom.

I don't think He would look cheesey or campy on Film. pretty much the only change that should be made to Him is, His look. I loved His look in the Comics but I think they should a update it a little but still keep aspects from the Comics, such as the eye buckles for the cape, the gloves, the cape, the bowl on his head, etc. Somebody on this forum did a manip of Mysterio which would look perfectley on Film.
