Please. For the love of god. No more villains for Mark Strong! He was the villain in SHERLOCK HOLMES, KICK-ASS, ROBIN HOOD, one of the villains in GREEN LANTERN the villain in JOHN CARTER OF MARS.

And I'm sure I'm forgeting a villain or two...

But he's soo good at playing the baddy, and he even loves playing them...

British actor Mark Strong is very good at being very bad.
"I do love these characters and as an actor you've got a hell of a lot to get hold of, and the challenge is not to make them two-dimensional and to find something in there," Strong told Reuters in a recent interview to promote Robin Hood.

Hugo Strange, Black Mask, Deadshot

Penguin, Catwoman, Bane, and Zsasz

Zsasz is a very interesting villain but he was already used in BB and I doubt that hed be enough to carry the burden of being the main villain, especially since he was beaten relatively easily in BB. I thought Nolan and Goyer did the best thing - included Zsasz as a nod to the comic fans but kept him as a cameo character

I still believe the best comination is Black Mask /Catwoman and maybe add Bane to the mix . Regardless I am sure Nolan will come up with something better than what I have in my mind

I'm never going to understand why there are so many votes for characters like Penguin and Catwoman. Personally I'd rather see more characters that we haven't seen in Batman movies before...that was one of the things that was so great about Batman Begins.

I agree about The Penguin, he's kind of lame in the comics and Tim Burton's reinvention was just perfect. As for Catwoman, the Burton rendition was great but they should still use her in the next one since Nolan's two Bat-films have suffered the lack of strong female character (e.g. Rachel Dawes). As much as The Riddler needs a reinvention on film, badly. I still think it's a good sign that Nolan has ruled him out as it would seem trying to top Heath's Joker considering Riddler is the next big villain after The Joker.

Also, the BTAS rendition of The Riddler is perfect and the next director could use him as the villain.

Its because even tho we've seen Joker many times on the silver screen before, it didnt diminish the character in TDK in any way. Everyone is simply curious what the classic villains will be like when looking through Nolan's prism

I voted for The Riddler because it'd be interesting to see what this Batman would do opposed to the Batman in Batman Forever. Harley Quinn would be cool, I mean what if they showed that the Joker had some kind of relationship, and she tried to avenge the Joker. And if it was her, I'd want her to lose the outfit and go with something dirty and gritty like the Joker's.

I'm leaning towards Black Mask and Catwoman (with either Deadshot, Penguin or Bane in a smaller role - if not cameo role).

If Catwoman is not in movie... then a very small part involving Harley Quinn (sp?). Without a Heath Ledger as Joker... I don't think Harley would have as much impact... but then Nolan could probably still make it work.

Bane should be one of, if not the biggest of, the two villains should he appear. Small or cameo role wont do him justice, and he deserves that after B&R

I don't really understand how Bane could be a bit-part. His raison d'etre is as the one man who can destroy Batman. How do you reduce that to a cameo, and have a different villain as the primary threat?
