Flash?

I disagree on SPiderman 3 and Spawn, but pretty good list.

The fact that Singer is not a "+" point anymore, is debatable. He is still the director of X2, one of the best sequel ever and by now no one knows the real quality of Valkyrie. And if will it be a triple-a movie?

Nevertheless the idea of a reboot it's simply insane and the result of the Hulk, will prove it. I doubt that The incredible Hulk will do far better than Hulk at the box office. And atUniversal they'll be happy to do again $130-140m, simply because after the terrible negativity of the first movie, it would have been impossible to cross the $100m mark.
you don't think SR is having the same negativity, if not more? look around, it's a mess; here as well as in BT. and there are blogs dedicated to hate this movie!!! didn't ang lee's hulk get all these?

But SR did $200m with a nostalgic and romantic movie, it needs only an action packed sequel (like the first X-Men movie).
You can reboot a franchise after 3-4 movies (for example Batman), but not after a single movie. You can't reboot a franchise every time there is a problem.
If the kid is a problem you can solve it with a good script, I don't see why they should start again from zero...people are sick of Superman's origin, expecially after 8 years of Smallville.
action isn't the main problem of SR and you know it deep down your heart.
you seriously wanna see this version of superman to continue? sure???

If you look at X-men and that at X2, they seems totally different from each other. The first one seem a tv-pilot and the second one is a terrific sh movie, IMO one of the best ever made.

The director is the same, and his name is Bryan Singer.

I'm assuming that you are responding to my post so I'm going to respond to your response.

Although I generally like X2 I still think that it looked fairly cheap and that the action scenes were not well done and that it just plain doesn't compare to alot of other comicbook films so when responding to my complaints please don't bring up X2, because I don't think it's one of the best anythings really. As a matter of fact, I haven't watched it more than once all the way through.

Just saying because people seem to always bring it up to me when I complain about SR and it's pleasedon'thappen sequel.

it was a dark movie dealing with good versus evil... heck, that's why I also like Constantine
Okay. I thought it was right up there with GhostRider on my bad Superhero movies list but too each his/her own.

Ghost Rider was really weak... they didn't try hard enough to make it work.

There were parts that I did like, but it just didn't do enough for me to like it.

I liked the Xmen flicks, but their style, tone, ect. are just wrong for superman.

I thought Constantine was good!

I'm looking forward to a sequel being done if they ever want to get around to it.....which I don't see why they wouldn't.

Trust me. Don't bother arguing the truth with these guys. They have their own reality on SR despite the facts. You will never change their mind. Used to show them articles and box office and still they wouldn't accept it. Even the WB calls it a failure, and still say it is a hit.

LMAO!! Nowhere did WB call it's a failure, buggs. They said they were disappointed it didn't reach the goal they wanted, but nowhere did they say it was a failure. Please post the info. where they confirmed it was a failure. Otherwise, stop accusing some of us ignoring the facts, when you do that as well. You act like you know a sequel will not happend & a reboot will. Aren't you acting the same way as those you accuse of this or that? Stop lying.

Thats just how Buggs acts. I don't understand it and frankly, I don't wanna.

That remark is so far removed from reality. The movie was a failure on so many fronts. Technically it was a disaster with one of the poorest scripts I've seen in years.

Worst of all, the flying effects were absolutely horrible. The flight scenes in Fantastic Four (no matter what you think of the movie overall) and the scenes in Iron Man, blow Superman Returns out of the water.

Singer is a great director, just not for this franchise. And it wasn't just his fault, the script was horrid, and the casting of Kate Beckensale (the worst Lois Lane on film) also hampered his work. Either way, it's time for a new direction.
Bosworth.

My bad, Bosworth. Kate Beckensale is hot and would have made a great sexy Lois Lane! Bosworth needs acting lessons worse than Katie Holmes.

Haha what? Beckinsale would be an aweful Lois Lane...Pearl Harbor? Van Helsing ring any bells :hehe:

Not to mention her accent. I think it silly to make Lois have a British accent. No offense to those in the UK. If Kate can drop the accent & sound like a real American, maybe she wouldn't be bad. But she is a little too pretty though. I prefer Lois to have the "cute" look than "hot" in Beckinsale. I prefer her as Catwoman. :D :D

I would actually prefer an all CGI Superman MOS movie (Starring Reeve) than another Singer debacle. SR left a bad taste in a lot of peoples' mouths. With the continued success of Spiderman, Iron Man and as of July '08 The Dark Knight, DC comics has got to be really frustrated with their Superman property. I'll say it again, they should re-cast (except for maybe Routh) and give us an old fashioned, ass-kicking adventure. DC needs more control next time around to ensure the franchise isn't ruined for a generation.

somtimes i get teh feeling that bugs is everyday closer to the darkside. :woot:

come back buggs. i also have problems with the movie. f.... WB . its theri fault. look at iron man.

i think WB will ned to force the writters to find a story in the comics that is good enough for a summer blockbuster movie. they need to add some good story and character developmetn. plus add some good action and voila.
i dont know hoooooow but JON made a movie that comicbook fans and general people love.

Yes Singer is Gay, and IMO I think it played a very important part in Superman's costume as well as having a woman costume designer collaboration.
It was more feminine in design than previous costumes

I’m not a homophobe.
But… if we can’t speak our minds then what happened to the freedom of speech?
I understand cursing and personal attacks but personal opinions are what make good conversation.

I agree with allowing people to have their freedom of speech.

Singer being gay or not being gay has nothing to do with anything. So let's knock it off.

Given the setup Singer has established how all of a sudden do you just deviate from that?
