The Dark Knight Rises WB: No discussions about Batman 3 with Nolan yet

You wanted me. Here I am.

Heh, ok, for some reason I thought of the shooting situation of Blade Trinity, when Goyer and Snipes were haveing a feud and the latter wouldn't come out to shoot a scene at some point.

Please, everybody, also don't forget that he is signed on for some TV series already... meaning we won't see production start on Batman until, at earliest, late next year. I think we're talking a late 2011 release...

Not TV series, an adaptation of the TV series "The Prisoner" on the big screen. However, a studio is thinking of reviving that series and wwe don't know how that affects Nolan's plans.

I agree about the 2011 release, though.

I'd be surprised if Nolan confirms in less than 10 months from now. He took ages after Begins.

Nolan just finish the dark knight he probably does not want to instantly start working on another flick.

Was just about to say this. Plus, I can only imagine all the media with TDK was overwhelming he may want to take a break with all things Batman. Don't blame him. I'd be taking a hibernated like rest and burn fan letters bothering me who should play Catwoman and the Riddler.

Fans should hate themselves if the force Nolan to do a quick but bad film...

Why wouldn't Nolan desire to return for a sequel? He seems to have had the time of his life doing TDK and BB, and he clearly enjoys working with the actors. On top of that, I'm sure there's an enormous sum of money on the table.

He may very well have enjoyed working on the film, but that doesn't mean he wants to return to that world, money or not, he still has to have the will to do another Batman film, for all we know, he could very well be bored with superheroes, if he was to come back and his heart isn't fully invested into it, then it will be a bad movie. And really, is it so hard to believe that maybe he's done with Batman as a character and wants to try something completely new? No director wants to do the same thing over and over again, maybe he want's to try his hand at comedy or horror or hell, a musical, tackle something he's never done before, who knows? The only one who knows is Nolan.

Please tell me this article is irrelevant as to whether or not Nolan will make another Batman movie...

For the love of all, let the man have a vacation before this crap starts.
Maybe Nolan won't make another movie, but they havent even approached him about it!
I am sure they will discuss it with him, they would be fools not to, and he may do it, he may not.
If he doesn't make another Batman movie, the studio will pass it on to another directory, because there will be another movie. And I will guarantee you, the studio will make it very, very clear to the new director, "Make it just like Nolan would have!"

Nowhere in that article does it say Nolan isn't making a third film.

Highly misleading title.

I could be wrong, but I cannot see Nolan making the Batman movies, and being so involved in the process of having done so, that he'd walk away from a third movie.

Especially when the studio gives him such leeway in how it's made.

i just want Chris to think like everyone else. Everyone thinks that this revamped batman franchise is his baby and will only continue to survive with him behind it 100%. sorta like how crazy man director Micheal bay with his transformers. (which i thought at first was gonna be crap, but turned out pretty cool!):cwink:
