"We didn't want to make a cerebral movie", says Leterrier

I don't think my hopes and expectations could reach any higher for this movie. C'mon trailer dammit...i need it like a drug. Someone inject me with a trailer damn it. Just a taste..:oldrazz:

Hirt looks amazing as Ross..

always knew Ed would look great

Well if you get a chance do fill us in, (if someone doesn't already.) I'd love to pick it up but unfortunately I don't even have a few bucks to spare :csad:

I'm going to Australia on Monday so dont think i'll get the chance, sorry bud.

As others have said, physically Norton is perfect as Banner. One of my qualms with the Ang film was Eric Bana's size, even slimming down for the role he was still too big. Norton, as soon as he was announced, seemed like the most obvious and most impossible choice in any comic movie to date IMO. An actor of his pedigree, a few years ago, would never be involved with this film I don't think, but just physically, I don't believe anyone else looks so much like Dr. Banner that I've seen (at least since Bixby) On top of that, Norton has played plenty of screwed up, repressed nutcases with weird personalities, most notably in Fight Club, so his casting was so perfect, yet so strange. I never in a million years believed he would do this role, and right now, he's the only reason I have confidence in this film thus far...

I'm totally with ya. Back in the early 2000's when talk of a Hulk movie started looking like a reality, Norton came to mind. But, like you said, I thought, "Ah, an actor like him would never do a comic book movie."

I'm so glad I was wrong!
:applaud

hmm that interviews tells me that there will not be enough action to satisy those who hated the first one.

Yeah. The funny part is that Ang's Hulk had a 25 minutes action sequence. Few superhero movies have that.

Yup, the last 1/4 of the movie was almost all Hulk. People tend to overlook that for some reason. It was mostly back loaded as far as Hulk action. I think that is something we won't have to deal with in the new film.

I think a LOT of us felt like that. Norton was a name thrown around as a fan favorite in '02 before casting was announced. It seemed like a dream that was pretty much dismissed for the reasons you stated.

Some guy in the Iron Man forum apparently already read the magazine, but since he hasn't been following up on Hulk he didn't know what was new, cept mentioned something about Hulk and Abom throwing chunks of building at each other...
Anyone get this yet?

The pictures are simply great.

Even so I think Sam Elliot was the perfect Ross (not saying Hurt will be bad or anything).

norton looks perfectly scrawny for banner.

and sam elliot made a great ross but hurt is a great actor in his own right so im not worried.

QFT

Hurt is a great actor though. What I am worried about is Tyler.

Hurt is great. I was talking about how perfect Elliot was.

I'm not even worried about Tyler. I know she'll be weak.

I kinda get the same feeling, I hope we're wrong. To me, the best aspect of Ang's movie was the interaction between Connelley (who I thought was perfect) and Elliott (who was great also) I thought they both carried the film, and their relationship seemed perfectly strained, so I'm interested in how well these two can follow that up. Just as Norton was the best choice to play Banner based on physical looks and previous roles, so too was Connelley, who played basically the same role in A Beautiful Mind, being the crutch for an intelligent, mentally unstable man. On top of that, she also came across as intelligent in her own right, not to mention those expressive soulful eyes (Yeah, I do happen to be in love with her, lol) That being said, I do believe Tyler (and to a lesser extent, Hurt) have very big shoes to fill IMO...

If it comes down to it, you are going to have to fight me for her. :woot:

I just read an article that was apparently published on Monday, this article here, http://www.futuremovies.co.uk/review.asp?ID=817 Notice how this guy begins his third paragraph, "The plot will follow straight on from Hulk." For ****'s sake. I mean Jesus CHRIST. When is this **** gonna STOP? The movie is a REBOOT. REBOOT, REBOOT, REBOOT. This was made clear SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. Edward Norton gave a well publicised (in Internet standards) interview, only a few weeks ago, in which he said, very clearly, that this movie has NOTHING to do with the last Hulk. And yet this guy, who's written an otherwise good, well-researched, accurate, up-to-date article STILL can't even get this simple, well-established FACT RIGHT. Ang Lee's Hulk is GONE. This is a REBOOT. JESUS. Sorry, but I'm getting really sick and tired of this crap and had to get it off my chest.

^Most people aren't going to take it as a reboot. It's not like Batman where it was a decade ago, this is like four years ago. It will be viewed as a sequel by many.

also Batman Begins has been seen as a prequel to Tim Burton's Batman by many...

Not to mention the movie's setting is in South America, five years after the Hulk was born. It's a very obvious nod to the last film, regardless of changes to the origin/backstory and recastings.
