It won't flop...it'll simply "disappoint." And quietly make its money back on DVD sales.

This Summer will have only 3 major blockbusters, and those are Potc2, DVC. X3... Everything else will tank.
Mi3 & SR will both hit 140 - 170 tops in the usa.
The bad buzz around SR has not let down since the day Routh was cast... I cant see this having a good outlook...

Not to jump on anything i like how your defending singer its just that your statement is wrong i believe it was Blade that actually started the reign of the comic book films.![]()

Blade showed that money could be made from a comic licence if done properly. X-Men brought the comic book films to the mainstream and kicked off the trend.

i guess i'll be gettin' both of'em!!!VGPOP said:Superman Returns will be big. People will be shocked (at box office reports) when this movie comes out.
In the meantime....
Superman begins media takeover
Bryan Singer's Superman Returns has the box office steam to be the year's biggest film, and as the world waits eagerly, UK-based film magazine Total Film has put together a special collectors' issue.

Mr. Credible said:look dude, we get that you probably want Superman to beat X3 because of some rivalry you imagine between the two films, but quit saying that X3 will be 95 minutes long. out of all the reports the lowest time that's been mentioned is an hour and 40 minutes, or 100 minutes total. it could even be longer than that, who knows? i know it's only a five minute difference, but i see that you're trying to do: it's like when a car salesman tells you that a car car is $6,999 because it sounds better than $7,000.
SatEL said:no problem...it was already pointed out I messed up on the time period...don't know why but I was thinking X-Men came out in the early to mid 90s....seems like it was way before 2000Venom71 said:If it wasn't for Singer and his X-Men movies most likely we wouldn't have all the comic book/superhero movies that have been made the past 15 years or so.

Just speaking for myself here but lately movies have been too long just for the sake of being long. King Kong comes to mind which was unnecessary long. Long doesn´t always equal better nor does it equal being epic, a story can be told in a shorter amount of time and still be a quality movie. 1 hour 40 does sound a bit short for X-Men 3, but perhaps it will be 100 minutes that are tight and actionpacked.
And on that note, this is not the X-Men 3 spoiler forum, I´m spoiler free going into X-Men 3 so I wish that people would not post spoilers without adding a spoiler warning tag to their posts. The length of the movie is not a big deal, but something might come up in this thread.
Spare-Flair said:It's ridiculous that some of you don't believe that criticsm of this movie should be heard and we should just all go along and "trust Singer" or "Routh is Superman, deal with it".
I completely agree with the thread starter. Singer is ruining the franchise and I personally hope this movie bombs so that we could get a proper Superman.
Then again, at least it isn't Nicolas Cage.
