The Dark Knight What are your biggest Dark Knight Fears?

My biggest fear definantly is if the Joker doesn't have any resemblence whatsover to the Joker in the comics. Then they might as well just not call him the Joker. :joker:

Yep, fanboys are really strange guys.

I mean they loved BB and now they are saying something like "I didn't like this or that". But 10-15 years later, when new trilogy begins, they will start saying "BB was better in this or that"

Oh yeah, fanboys are extremely annoying, you can never please them, and they'll complain about the most stupid things, like boots not being real enough in a superhero movie with a man who flies....

IMO I think the film is in good hands. I read somewhere (can't remember!) that the Joker *will* look like the Joker should, but not really be explained why he looks that way. With the Joker you can only mess with the look so much before it's no longer Mr. J. That's my opinon.

The tumber-I love it. IMO I don't see any need for any cosmetic changes. I think it should be in the movie.

Nolan and co. are not dumb, they know they have to hit it out of the park, because the backlash and hammering the franchise and WB face if they don't will kill the Batman films once again. I do seriously think they have a winning team. They are respectful to the characters I think and they don't want to damage the respect they've gotten from us fans. I have INWT in my sig and I do trust the man, but we as Batman fans all have those worries. Without any hard news coming in droves it's natural to doubt the movie.

The pic posted above of Ryan Phillipe, does anybody know for certain how recent that is? I've seen others on this forum that make him look 10 years older...

BTW you must learn to confront your fears and use them against your enemies, lol!

hey lordoftheners, i like ur signature thingy wit the click here to read spoilers lol

I'm pretty confident in this movie --- the only fear I have is that they might move away from the Denny O'Neil influences of the first one, but that's really just a personal thing... I'm a diehard fan of the O'Neil and Animated Series versions of Batman.

Just wondering what your biggest fears for this movie are.

Mine are as follows.

1. Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker I know some people like it but I am very iffy on this it just seems like a bad choice but I would like to think that Nolan knows what he is doing so im worried here.

2. The look of the Joker it has been mentioned alot that he might not even look like the Joker so this scares me if he doesn't look like the Joker in a way that takes away from his charectre all togather.

3. For me the best thing about begins was the begining the whole origin and thats what made the whole story so compelling for me I thought when it came to the big hero time for Batman he sort of disapointed a little bit (don't get me wrong I still liked it but it just wasn't as good as I hoped from the first half of the movie). So with out the origin story can this still be a great movie or will it just be a decent Batman flick ?

4. Most of the possiblitys of Two face seem to scare me alot of the people being rumored really make me worry about the film. I mean as much as I don't like Ledger as Joker I think Phelipee as dent would be even worse.

5. I really hope the Tumbler isn't in this one or at least the look of it has changed a little bit but I could tolerate it if it's the same.

6. They were talking about redoing the house at the end of the movie hinting at a Batcave I fear a little bit that they might go a little to over the top with it and might try to go to far and do to much to soon. Though I doubt this will Happen Nolan seems to be good at keeping it slightly more grounded to reality than the other movies.

7. Finally one for now. Im scared that the Joker will have a pretty small part even though he is Batman's greatest villian. I mean I thought they put way to much Joker in 89 but there are rumors that Joker won't even be in the first half of this film I hope he comes of stronger than Scarcrow or Falconie did.

Any way's what are you guys scared of about this movie what has you a little bit worried. Sorry for the errors it's late I hope you can make sense of this.

My fear is reading any more of your punctuationless babble.

that the joker looks as predictable as you thought!
thy bring back katie holmes

my fear is Nolan deciding to use the same camera work when filming his fight scenes. I really really really don't want the criminals perspective thing again. good the first time, but I want something new.

The secret to failure is trying to please everyone, and the secret to psychotic breakdown is trying to please all geeks...

Same as post peeps. I fear that the Joker may look really different than the way we know him.

My biggest fear is that on opening night, when I am sitting in the theater getting ready to watch TDK, they theater screws up and accidently puts in the movie Princess Diaries 2...:(

None of us need lessons on logic and rationality from a post that sounds like an irrational rambling.

I don´t know about anybody else, but I have given reasons for everything I like about this movie. Agree or disagree, but they´re there, you can find the posts if you want and everyone´s witness to it. I´m done explaining myself to people who just come here to pick up fights.

hmm... notice i DIDN'T quote you? i quoted the guy who said liking the Tumbler was illogical and ignorant.

It is either old, air brushed, or shot with a soft lense.
From the recent pics ive seen of Phillipee he doesnt look like a botox fan.

I recently had an anticipated theatre premiere nightmare like that. The last half of the movie had no picture. The picture shut off right at the final showdown between the two main characters and all there was was sound.
The theatre couldnt rewind or stop the movie it would have to be watched in its entirety just to get to the end. I was a little more than upset.

Just so you know it is possible to like something and not think it is perfect. I think BB was the best comic movie period but it does have a couple of things I don't like nothing is perfect.

Don't know about others, but I am agreed with you.

Joker is the main villian in sequels (especially in TDK). Yes, I doubt he will have more than 2 fights with Batman, but final one should be between him and Batman.

2Face isn't good villian for fighting, because he can't fight like usual real villian, who has his own advantage.
Actually 2face is a better fighter than Joker

No need to be a dick i did say I was sorry at the end. Grow up and learn to act like a decent human instead of just being an ass. Try going up stairs and asking your mom if she can teach you how.

I really don't get the DKR hate at all... Aside from the Joker wearing lipstick... Seriously, the Joker in DKR was as close to the definitive Joker that you'll see in any other Batman comic.

First of all, he wasn't "white-haired" in any way shape or form. He had his trademark green hair, and his chalk-white skin. And even the lipstick served a purpose; it was poison.

Second, he was only "silent" in the first part of the story, before Bruce came out of retirement. In fact the only reason he was "silent" in the first place was because he was catatonic after Batman retired. Why? Because he was obsessed with Batman. Vintage Joker. Frankly, I've always thought that was one of the Joker's defining characteristics; his sick, morbid fascination with Batman bordering on homoeroticism.

And lastly, he was as murderous, and as flamboyantly theatrical and eccentric as ever. I mean, he slaughtered hundreds of people in DKR with freaking exploding baby dolls that spread smilex gas.

Have you actually read DKR? Because the Joker we got in DKR was the classic Joker we know and love. I only HOPE that the Joker in TDK is half as good as he was in DKR.

No don't get me wrong bro. I ****ing loved the Joker in DKR. Yeah the whole sexual repression thing was a little too wacky for my tastes, but him stabbing Batman nonstop was the balls. My problem is, while that Joker was great for a 50 year old, I really don't want to see it in TDK. My Joker that I want to see in TDK is the laughing twisted bastard from Killing Joke, not the silent (I found him to be silent, he rarely ever made a joke except for the sexual repression one) Joker.

You could argue that jokes do not make a Joker, and that's cool. Sorry if this argument isnt more well thoughtout, I got my wisdoms out and I'm flying high on painkillers.

MY ARMS DIDN'T FALL OFF, TAKE THIS LORDSOFTHE...

*reading* "you officialy have no..."

Oh :(
