The Dark Knight What are your biggest Dark Knight Fears?

I personally enjoyed the fight scenes I like the way they were shot.

I think Begins is the best comic movie period. I don't want to see a mix between Burton and Nolan I would rather just see Nolan.

My biggest fear is that Nolan might try to cram too much into the movie, a la Spider-Man 3. I think SM3 is going to be a great flick, but 3+1 villains (Harry, Sandy, Venom + Emo Pete) may be putting too much into the movie and taking away from everything else. I don't just want pictures flashing before my eyes because there wasn't enough room for dialogue. Plus, if the reports are true that they are also thinking about bringing in The Penguin I think you would need to do more than give him the Falcone treament to do him justice.

So please Mr. Nolan, simpler is better. Cheers.

Yes but Penguin was never big vilian in the comics anyway.

Mostly, seeing great pieces of filmmaking work being bashed by annoying nitpicky fanboys (like in the past Tumbler, the suit, etc.)

My biggest fears for the new movie is that we'll get another lame rubber costume, more stupid things like car/tank chases over the roof tops of Gotham, another lame/forced love interest for Wayne/Batman that will be thrown away at the end of the movie, more of an underdeveloped Gordon character who trusts Batman for no obvious reason and a weak/underdeveloped Dent if he's present at all.

Or conversely, lame and poorly executed ideas like the tumbler, the suit, etc. defended to the death by Nolan sycophants with illogical, ignorant and just plain stupid arguments.

Im a big Nolan fan and I think that Batman Begins was the best comic movie period but I will say that I think the Tumbler was very very horrible and the Batsuit wasn't that good but I could deal with it.

Amen. While I thought the tumbler was stupid, I still think that a lot of people who frequent internet message boards need to get their heads out of their rear-ends.

Someone hasnt been reading early batman history. Its only post crisis that penguin is not a major character

^^ i was wondering by what he meant about that. Penguin never a major villain? WTF?

He's one of the main villains in Batman Returns, the 60's Batman show, and the 90's cartoon, and you think he was never a big villain in the comics??

Which sucks, because The Penguin has alot of potential, and is a villain that fits very well in Batman's world.

I would disagree I think Penguin is best as a background guy like he has been the last few years. Just the connection guy or the buisness man I hate him as some huge criminal mastermind I don't think it fits. Of course I have always hated him I think he is one of the worst villians period.

Yes, saying the Tumbler was bad-ass is terribly illogical. Because, you know, logic can even be applied to an opinion like that. Or perhaps it's my ignorance. Perhaps if i studied up on the subject of bad-assness a bit more, i'd see the Tumbler's not so cool, and that giant batfins on a car half an inch above the ground is.

My biggest fear is that the Joker will have too much screentime.

Keeping Batman the main character is important to me.

I agree while Joker is my fav villian I don't want this to be like 89' which had far to much Joker and not enough Batman.

But I am also afraid that there won't be enough Joker because it has been said we won't see him until the film is half way over.

Exactly.

I'd have to say, that's my fear. That the Joker would become the main attraction. He's such an interesting character, that sometimes in his stories he steals the spotlight. I just hope we see him at his best, while still being 2nd to the Bat.

Maybe he thinks he was never a big villain in the comics because, as the Batman said, he isn't one in the Post Crisis comics.

Please god no...

Good young actor... Would have been perfect for the role of Anakin Skywalker b ut George Lucas blew that casting, and ruined the entire new trilogy by casting two of the worst actors alive to play Anakin.
Jake Lloyd, and Hayden Christensen were awfull, and Ryan would have been perfect for the older Anakin but Ryan as Harvey Dent?
No way in hell... Ryan sorry your just not Harvey Dent. Period!
Like I said I like the kid.. I think he's a good actor but he's all wrong for the role, and now that we are at it so is Ledger...
In Nolan I trust... But his casting choices are leaving me a bit worried...

He's not.

The Penguin is just a freak acting like a mob boss.

He's really not as interesting, or as freaky, as what we got in BR.

I don't think he can be a main villian. He might be too boring a villian to carry a film.

Thats good... This way they could set him up for the next movie, and have him come out as Batman's main foe in the trilogy.

I hope not I don't want him to be a villian in two movies. I hate repeat villians it mean we see less. I just can't stand the repeated villians thats one thing that disapoints me about Spiderman is that there is always an Osborn out to get him in each of the movies I just hope SM3 can be good despite this.

Mine fear is that Nolan will give Joker the Scarecrow treatment. Instead of a bagged head, we'll get a Joker more akin to the one in DKR: a silent white haired killer who has to lipstick himself.

Actually.....having the same villian in 2 films would be something new.

Only X-Men has had recurring villians. Magneto and Mystique.

I'd like to see the Joker used again, as well as Scarecrow, Ra's and Zasz.

I mean they're great characters, if thery don't die.......what's the harm in re using them in a smart and creative manner?

I doubt we're going to get that.

Nolan seems to have the realsim aspect....but he seems to comprehend the fantasy aspect as well.

So, I don't think we're going to get a drag queen.

I'm pretty sure Nolan confirmed Joker was in TDK and the third BB.
Nolan isn't Raimi. Quit expecting him to do the same thing that other directors have already done.
If Joker is in both movies then it isn't assumeing anything. My complaint isn't the way that Raimi potrayed them it was the simple fact that The story always has to involve an Osborn/Green Goblin as a villian in some way. I don't want the Joker in both films I wan him in this one and then in the next one we can have Two Face and maybe one other guy but I don't want the same villian over and over there is no need for them to be repeated. Maybe if they plan on making 5 or 6 movies but as far as I know the plan is 3 and if it will only be 3 then I dont want repeats.
